1xBet was first founded in 2007, but only in the last few years has it started to gain attention. A marketing drive has helped to bring this sports book up to par with the hundreds of rivals that exist in this sector, but it’s still a name that many haven’t heard of and one that has a lot of work to do as a result.
1xBet is available across Europe, but it was mainly created to appeal to countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States. This includes the former Soviet Union countries like Armenia, Russia and Belarus. In fact, in this area 1xBet is considered to be a top 5 bookmaker, but outside of it it’s practically unheard of.
One of the best things about 1xBet is the fact that it operates like a UK sports book, but in the CIS. The sports books and casinos in this region often cut corners and are not as rightly regulated as they are elsewhere. 1xBet is the exception to this. It is tightly controlled and fully licensed, and this is reassuring for gamblers everywhere.
However, that’s not to say that nothing can go wrong. Gambling commissions and regulators aren’t able to take power away from sports books and what many customers don’t realize is that the gambling site still has the final say. So, if they decide that something needs to be done, even if you disagree with it or think it is wrong, outrageous or even illegal, there’s often very little you can do about it.
It’s important to make a note of this, as we shall discover a little later on.
One of the best things about 1xBet are the odds they offer. These are not much bigger than their rivals, but for the most part they are ahead of sites like Bet365 and PaddyPower, and that takes a lot of doing. In fact, 1xBet is one of the few sports books that is on par with BetFair and other betting exchanges, at least for the most part.
There are also some neat little features and bonuses on 1xBet that help to set it apart from their rivals. In this sense 1xBet reminds us of PaddyPower, which always has a few unique bonuses available, and BetFred, which has plenty of betting features, games and more.
As far as the markets selection, the layout and all the other basics go, 1xBet pretty much ticks all boxes. There are also a decent selection of banking options. But again, it’s all to be expected.
Our biggest issue with 1xBet is the customer support, which is practically nonexistent. It takes forever to get a reply, and sometimes they just don’t come. We had a few small issues with them that warranted talking to support. And while they fixed most of these issues eventually, they took their time.
We have never had any serious problems with 1xBet. Our bonuses went through. Our bets cashed as they should have done and we were able to withdraw successfully. However, we have heard many bad reports when it comes to withdrawals and winning bets.
Customers have complained that 1xBet are not paying out. They have complained that their accounts are being suspended when they win too much. This is something we have heard time and time again. But despite all of these claims, we haven’t been able to verify them ourselves. In our experience, the vast majority of claims along these lines are not as they seem to be. There is often something else happening and the reviewer is simply twisting things so it sounds like they have been robbed.
However, we also know from experience that the Gambling Commission is as much help as a chocolate teapot and that if you really are “robbed” by a regulated casino or sports book, there is very little you can do. So, because of this, we would advise caution. We’re happy to say that 1xBet is solid, offers big odds, decent bonuses, etc. but you should take note of these issues.
There are some good things about 1xBet, but there are also some bad things. If we were to consider this site purely from a personal point of view then we would probably give it an 7/10. And if not for the slow and bad customer support it could easily get as much as 9/10. A lot of this would be based on the fact that it’s rare to find such a professional sports book in the CIS.
However, once we take into account all that has been said about 1xBet. Once we realize that at least some of what they are saying about the cash-outs and suspensions must be true (because, after all, what they say about the customer support is true) then it’s cause for concern.
So, make of 1xBet what you will. On the one hand, it is a sports book that could be one of the very best in the CIS. It is a sports book that will be okay for casual gamblers, albeit with a few minor frustrations caused by the somewhat weak customer support. But if you’re a big gambler who earns a consistent profit and is used to frustrating the sports books, then you’re probably going to encounter a few issues with 1xBet.
