- Malta and UK
Mr Green is a fairly fresh site on the online gambling scene, but it is one that has made a name for itself over the last couple of years and one that is quickly growing into one of the biggest online gambling sites in the world.
Mr Green is a casino first, and a sports book second, but the sports betting side of this site is growing and is now a viable option for cricket fans looking to place a few quid on an upcoming match or tournament.
Mr Green is one of the biggest and best online casinos in the world right now. It may not have the established might of some of its rivals, but you can’t argue with the statistics, and they show that Mr Green has more games than most of the casinos out there.
That’s because they haven’t just stuck with one provider. They have games from Playtech, who are their biggest provider and supply most of the titles on the Mr Green casino. But there are also games from Net Ent, BetSoft, IGT and several others. This means that whether you prefer progressive slots, retro slots or bonus slots, there are always plenty of games for you to choose from.
Mr Green is based and licensed in Malta, but the UK Gambling Commission also licenses it in the UK. This casino has a wide reach and is available anywhere where online gambling is legal.
It is safe gambling at Mr Green, and there are no issues in that regard. It would have to be though, as the UK Gambling Commission, and the other commissions Mr Green works with, are very strict about safety and security.
Mr Green is a very graphical and attractive casino, but it still loads quickly and is easy to navigate. There is also a fantastic mobile version, so good in fact that it was voted as the Best Mobile Casino of 2016 by a leading authority in the industry.
There are many sites out there that are sports books first and casinos second, and Mr Green is one of the few sites that is a casino first and a sports book second. Of course, this is only an advantage if it happens to cover your markets of choice, but for cricket fans, Mr Green should do that.
You won’t find as many markets here as you would on leading sports books, but there are more than enough to keep your interest and unless you like to bet on niche sports and niche markets, then you shouldn’t be left wanting for anything. The odds are not great and we would be surprised if you found the best odds for anything on Mr Green, but they are on par with what you will find on other sports betting sites.
There is no shortage of promotions on offer at Mr Green. These change quite a lot, and some of them are not as good as others. At the time of writing, you can get 20 free spins as soon as you signup and deposit, and there are also deposit bonuses on offer. In fact, one such bonus offers, as much as £200 from a £100 deposit, although this comes with a sizable play-through rate, while the play-through rates on the free spins are minimal. It all depends on what sort of bonus you want, which in turn depends on what sort of gambler you are.
It’s not just for new members either, as there are also plenty of offers for loyal members. There are better casinos out there when it comes to loyalty bonuses and schemes, but in terms of new member bonuses, Mr Green is pretty much on par with all of its rivals, and is leagues above some of them.
There are a number of deposit and withdrawal options at your disposal on Mr Green. Fees are low, and non-existent in most cases, and the withdrawals are also processed fairly quickly, although we have encountered some issues in this department.
Mr Green is also very proud of its responsible gambling features, and rightly so, as these are some of the most comprehensive we have seen. If you have an issue with gambling, or if you are worried that you might develop one, then this is ideal as it can keep your gambling in check.
Customer support is one of the areas where Mr Green falls flat. This is a huge shame, and we hope it gets better, but it hasn’t shown any signs of doing that just yet.
The main means of contact on Mr Green is a contact form. There is no phone number, Live Chat facility or even an email address. You use the form, leave your details and then wait for them to get back to you. If they were quick to respond then this would be acceptable, but they are not. They seem to operate on UK working hours, which means they are limited to less than half a day and 5 days a week. This seems like an odd decision when you consider that most people don’t gamble during these times (because most people are at work) and it’s one that causes a lot of frustration with Mr Green customers.
The staff are helpful, polite and professional when they respond, but because of the delayed nature and the lack of any direct support, they are usually always responding to a customer who has jumped through several hoops by that point and is very annoyed as a result.
Mr Green is one of our favorite casinos, which is partially down to the bonuses it offers, but mainly down to the vast number of games available. It is one of the few major casinos that offers BetSoft titles, and one of the few where you can also find all Playtech and Net Entertainment titles.
Mr Green is not perfect and it needs a complete revamp on the customer support side of things, but providing you don’t encounter an issue or you don’t have a question to pose to the support staff, then you’ll be fine.
