BGT vs NWS Team Previews

Bangla Tigers

After a forgetful start, Bangla Tigers haven't looked back and have racked wins after wins in the tournament. They started off their super-six campaign with a clean win over Team Abu Dhabi and consequently have a terrific net run-rate of 2.7.

Batting first against Team Abu Dhabi, Andre Fletcher and Rilee Rossouw wreaked havoc on Abu Dhabi's bowlers as the duo scored at a rate of fifteen runs an over for the first three overs. Once Fletcher was dismissed, Rossouw took charge and scored at a scintillating pace. However, his wicket triggered a mini-collapse, but the Tigers still managed to score 129, which proved too much for the Bulls.

While most of their bowlers were carted away for runs, Qais Ahmed and Liam Plunkett kept them in the game with intelligent and accurate bowling. Although Plunkett could not pick up a wicket, his economical spell allowed other dictate terms. Qais Ahmed was the pick of their bowlers as he returned with excellent figures of 3 for 8 in his two overs.

Northern Warriors

Northern Warriors have had an interesting tournament so far. They just managed to progress to the super-six round of the tournament after being listless in their final two group games, but have started in a surprisingly good manner in the second stage of the tournament.

Although these are still early days in the tournament, net run-rate can still be very important and the Warriors have got that going pretty well with a big win in their opening super-six match. They have a net run-rate of 1.778 and the margin of win in their previous match could prove to be a differntiating factor at the back-end of the tournament.

Chasing a reasonably tall total against the Bulls, the Caribbean flair helped Warriors get over the line. While Nicholas Pooran held one end with and scored at a decent rate, Andre Russell's small but nifty innings of 22 helped the Warriors massively. They eventually overhauled the total with an over to spare and six wickets in hand.

BGT vs NWS Betting Tips

Each team is set to play five matches in this round of the tournament and each match is of significant importance. Both the sides are coming off remarkable wins in their respective previous matches and performance-wise, its hard to choose between the two. Comparing the two sides on paper and performance in the tournament so far and also taking into the account the odds, betting on a Warriors' win would be the way to go.
