Our Prediction: to win, N/A Bet on to win for Real Money
With a convincing victory in the first test to take the 1-0 lead in the series, India showed how tough to beat they can be at home. There is an opportunity for the visitors to level the series with the second test beginning on 2nd March. In the first game, pitch played a major role, but was better than what it looked and stroke-play was easiest on 2nd and 3rd day when Dhoni and Co. was playing. Similar is expected in Hyderabad with a little more bounce than Chennai. India is looking well set to take revenge for what happened down under and would be looking to win the game. All in all, it is expected to be a thriller of a game, a lot closer than the first one.
Although India won the first match without any fuss, their opening combination should be a cause for great concern. Murali Vijay failed to impress in his comeback game at his home ground. Sehwag, with his new spectacles, seemed to be fluent in the second innings but got out due to a good bowling and a little complacency. Fortunately for India and their supporters, rest of the batting order is in sublime touch. Tendulkar has silenced his critics by scoring imposing half century while Dhoni showed what a force he can be. Kohli displayed his class after Pujara showed that he is right candidate for taking Dravid’s place. India seems to be doing well with spin with Ashwin taking the wickets and others just drying one end up.
Australia did lose the first match, but it wasn’t all thorns for them. Michael Clarke played with authority till he was out in the middle. Moises Henriques had an awesome game with two fifties and reasonable bowling. The resistance showed by late order in batting would also settle their nerves. Their fielding and attitude was as usual, impressive. One place where they lost the game completely was their bowling. Their fast bowlers except Pattinson didn’t pose a problem for India batsmen. Lyon bowled well, but he was taken away for too many runs. Inclusion of Xavier Doherty in the eleven may help their cause a bit, but they’d need to work hard to challenge high-spirited Indian side.
Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad might witness a crunch game of Cricket with India in good form while Australia looking to improve more. It seemed to be an even game until third day when Dhoni took the game away for the visitors. Although a more interested match is expected in the coming game, but India seem to be the stronger of the two sides. We cannot rule the possibility of India losing the game, but it would be really optimistic to think of that. A draw, however, is a possibility considering typical Hyderabad pitch. Cricket is a game of uncertainty and many stranger things have happened on a cricket field, but I’d still place my money on hosts, India.
Winner: India, 2.10 @ Bovada
As evident from the first match, fast bowlers didn’t prove to be as lethal as slower bowlers. All twenty Australian wickets fell to spin and Australian pacers, apart from Pattinson, weren’t effective. Considering the facts from the first match, following bets might be profitable.
