Our Prediction: to win, N/A Bet on to win for Real Money
Occupying the second position in the points table with 8 points, CSK will go up against Kings XI, who have accumulated 4 points, on 25th April at Chennai. The Chennai camp is back on track after beating RCB in their previous game and will be eager to continue with their winning form; the visitors on the other hand have won 2 out of 5 games and are looking to prove themselves by beating the most consistent team of the tournament on Saturday.
Winning the last encounter against RCB by 27 runs, the batsmen proved their strength in delivering the goods with the bat as they posted a competitive 181 runs on the board. Suresh Raina’s blazing run-a-ball 32 and Dwayne Smith’s 39 off 29 along with Faf du Plessis’ 33 off 18 helped the CSK innings. On the bowling front, Ashish Nehra was astounding with the ball, finishing with career-best figures of 4-10. He was ably supported by Ishwar Pandey who claimed a wicket. Previously, CSK tasted defeat in their 4th match against Rajasthan Royals as they lost the match by 8 wickets. They have emerged as one of the strongest teams in the tournament so far with players like Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum, who have forged arguably the most dangerous opening combination in T20 format. Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis, MS Dhoni and Bravo have made significant contributions with the bat makeing the batting unit stable. CSK has made a habit of winning matches and they will be out on the field to entertain the home crowd with some big shots on Saturday too.
Kings XI Punjab ended the Royals’ 5-match winning streak by defeating them in the super over after successfully chasing down 192. Shaun Marsh unfurled eye-catching shots and essayed a fine fifty while David Miller scored 54 off 30; both played beautifully to get to the total and Axar Patel landed a meaty blow off the final ball of the innings to tie the match. Kings XI Punjab lost their 4th match against KKR by 4 wickets after George Bailey amassed a well-constructed fifty to help Punjab recover and Maxwell posting a breezy knock. However in the end, they paid the price for losing wickets at regular intervals. Overall, KXIP will be satisfied with the performance of batsmen like Maxwell, Bailey and David Miller; the presence of veteran Virender Sehwag in the top order makes KXIP to be a powerful side but he needs to click more often. They will need to be cautious against Super Kings who are pumped up about their chances and put up a strong performance to win the match.
It should be a cracker of a game between the Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab and going by their strength, CSK looks a more stable side. Although Chennai has had better record in past, we think that KXIP is more team to score a win this game as they are back on track after defeating an invincible looking team and will be full of confidence because of Marsh-Miller combo.
