TWS vs NMBG Match Prediction - Nov 13, 2019

The first match of the Tshwane Spartans was washed out and fams were left disappointed since they would have to wait longer to see AB de Villiers. Tshwane Spartans are now going to be facing the Nelson Mandela bay Giants who registered a very impressive victory against the Jozi Stars in the previous match.

The Mzansi Super League is just a few matches into this season but it is clear to see that the competition between different teams is going to be very close. There is nothing that can be taken for granted in MSL T20 and we expect the fight for qualification places to go down the wire.

Tshwane Spartans vs Nelson Mandela Bay Giants MSL 2019 is going to be played at SuperSport Park, Centurion on the 13th of November 2019.

TWS vs NMBG Team Previews

Tshwane Spartans

The Tshwane Spartans have been watching the action in the Mzansi Super League from the sidelines and would be keen to get on the ground. They may have a slight advantage by starting later since Tom Curran may become available to them now that he is done with the T20 series in New Zealand.

The pitches in South Africa have been good for batting so far and we have no reason to expect anything different in this match. The onus will be on the AB de Villiers led batting lineup. There is not too much star power around de Villiers and the pressure will be on him to provide a solid contribution in more matches than not.

He may have been out of international cricket for some time now but there is no questioning his ability.

Ab de Villiers is going to have Dean Elgar, Theunis de Bruyn, Tony de Zorzi, and Heinrich Klaasen for support in the batting order/

Klaasen is another player that we rate very highly and think could make a big impact in this match.

There are some other players that can contribute as well but they are not going to be winning too many matches on their own.

Morne Morkel and Lungi Ngidi are the leading bowlers of the side. They are world-class bowlers but have not always been too successful in T20 cricket. Roelof van der Merwe, Theunis de Bruyn, and Luthi Sipamla are some of the other players that could be picked from the squad for the first match.

Tshwane Spartans Playing 11

Heinrich Klaasen, Theunis de Bruyn, VBV Jaarsveld, Dean Elgar, AB de Villiers, RE Van Der Merwe, PJ van Biljon, Morne Morkel, Lungi Ngidi, Corbin Bosch, Lutho Sipamla.

Nelson Mandela Bay Giants

The Nelson Mandela Bay Giants have got off to a very good start in MSL 2019 after defeating the Joze Stars in their previous match. It was not a result that we had expected especially after the Giants only managed 167 runs in their 20 overs.

A disciplined bowling effort though helped them pick wickets at key intervals and ensure that they came away with full points from that game.

What was even more commendable was the fact that three of the Giants best batters did not score many runs put together. Jason Roy was out for a duck, JJ Smuts scored just nine, and Ben Dunk got out for 14.

The middle order of Heino Kuhn, Farhan Behardien, and Chris Morris were the ones that helped the Giants post a good total. It is easy to see what kind of carnage this batting lineup can cause when the top-order gives it a better start.

The stars of the previous match were the bowlers. No one bowler rant through the opposition but every single one made run-scoring difficult. Having bowlers of the caliber of Chris Morris and Imran Tahir makes the Giants bowling attack very potent.

The local domestic bowlers from South Africa had a good game in the previous match and that is very promising for the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants moving forward.

Pitch and Conditions

The weather forecast for this match is not very encouraging. Plenty of rain and thunderstorms have been forecast in Centurion over the next week including on match day. It looks like the Tshwane Spartans may be twiddling their thumbs enjoying the rain a bit longer.

The pitch at SuperSport Park is good for batting although the outfield is going to be slow owing to the rain.

TWS vs NMBG Dream11 Prediction

Dream11 team and Dream11 Prediction for Tshwane Spartans vs Nelson Mandela Bay Giants is a bit tricky since we have not seen the Tshwane Spartans in action. There could be some surprises in the team selection as well as the batting order that they employ. Add the high possibility of rain causing a reduction of overs in this match and you have a difficult to decipher puzzle. We have decided to stick with the top-order batters, big hitters, and death over specialists to try and cover as many bases as possible.

TWS vs NMBG Betting Tips

A normal 20 over game favors the Nelson Mandela bay Giants because it brings their superior depth and better balance of the side into play. If a reduced overs match is played out, though, then the AB de Villiers factor becomes very pronounced.

We advise on being judicious with your bets in case rain shortens the game but backing the Giants wholeheartedly if a full game is being played.

Bet on the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants to win.
