YOR vs NOT Match Prediction - Jul 19, 2019

Even though these are still early days in the tournament, Nottinghamshire's loss in the first match would have hurt them pretty badly. They were in a position to dictate terms at one point in the game and were eventually defeated by a reasonably big margin of 28 runs. They'll get to itching to get a win in their upcoming contest which is to be played at The Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Friday, July 19th. They'll be up against Yorkshire who are yet to start in the tournament. Considering that the Yorks will be playing at their home ground, they won't be an easy side to deal with, and this match-up between the two sides is expected to be yet another crunch contest in the tournament.

YOR vs NOT Team Previews

Yorkshire

Yorkshire missed out on a playoff spot last time around and were gutted to finish at the fifth spot in the North Group. Their one-run loss of Lancashire, their derby opponents, proved to be a decisive factor, as far as qualification for the playoffs is concerned. They'll be looking to garner every point in this edition starting from their very first game, in front of their home crowd.

In a bid to add power to their middle order, the White Roses have added Nicholas Pooran, the Caribbean swash-buckling batsman to their batting lineup. Pooran had a fantastic World Cup before this tournament and ended the Indian Premier League on a high and will be looking to take his confidence to the T20 Blast.

With Ashes just around the corner, the Yorks will dearly miss the services of the English stars in Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid, and Joe Root which is expected to hurt their team combination. However, their batting lineup is still pretty balanced with the likes of Ballance, Kohler-Cadmore, and Lyth to assist Nicholas Pooran.

Nottinghamshire

The Outlaws were stranded disappointed in their previous encounter as their middle order succumbed to pressure, which resulted in a narrow loss of 28-runs for them. Along with their poor batting in the slog overs, it was surprising to see their bowlers bowl odd lines and lengths in the first innings.

Harry Gurney was impressive with the ball and immediately made an impression on the match, picking up a wicket on the very first delivery of his spell. His slower ones and experience of playing across the globe could prove to be vital for Nottinghamshire, as far as death bowling is concerned.

Nottinghamshire have a little to celebrate about in the first game, and except for the blistering half-century by Alex Hales, their batting looked rather out of sorts. Considering the events of the first match, their middle-order batsmen would have to play with a lot more responsibility in their remaining games for the Outlaws to make a mark.

YOR vs NOT Betting Tips

Despite the absence of a few key players, Yorkshire will have a pretty good chance considering that they have the advantage of playing in home conditions. The addition of Nicholas Pooran is an inspirational move from the management, which is likely to reap good rewards on grounds with small boundaries. Nottinghamshire, on the other hand, showed plenty of vulnerabilities in both the departments and would need a massive improvement to make a mark.
