BetShah is not exactly brand-new, but the sportsbook and online casino is not widely known. Our research shows that the brand is generally well-regarded, receiving good ratings. There also don’t seem to be any major complaints about BetShah. On AskGamblers, only three complaints are listed and all of them have been resolved.
On the other hand, we couldn’t find any positive player reviews either. It is therefore difficult to say how actual customers rate their experiences here. Clearly, no one had much negative to say, but no one seems to feel compelled to praise BetShah either.
This leaves us with a neutral approach, and as long as we don’t hear anything overly concerning, we would consider BetShah reasonably trustworthy.
Do keep in mind that they only have a Curacao license, which is not our favourite. We would prefer a European license here, which has more advantages for the customers.
Of course, if you want to be careful when trying out BetShah, we recommend smaller deposits, careful betting and several withdrawals to test them out thoroughly. We would also recommend against signing up for the sports welcome bonus, which we will explain further below.
Cricket betting and other sports
As you well know, cricket betting is our business and as such we always take a close look at the available cricket betting options of any new bookmaker we review. At first glance, BetShah impresses with a lot of different sports to bet on, which also includes cricket.
Given that BetShah India clearly caters to Indian customers, cricket is not exactly on top of the list of sports available, but you also don’t have to search long for available cricket betting markets. At the time of our review, BetShah covered the following events:
- ICC T20 World Cup
- The Ashes
- Twenty20 Big Bash Women
- Twenty20 Big Bash
Admittedly, there weren’t a lot of cricket events happening, but we are confident that further cricket events will be available to bet on closer to the time they are running.
The selection of markets was solid and should satisfy most casual punters. Live cricket betting was also available, opening up further opportunities to bet on cricket.
Beyond cricket betting, BetShah is a great sportsbook if you are interested in other sports or eSports. Indeed, BetShah offers betting on well over two dozen sports, an exhaustive catalogue of eSports and more than half a dozen virtual sports. Considering that BetShah is a relatively small operation, they have much to offer here.
A quick comparison showed that BetShah offers competitive odds, which adds to their appeal to casual punters.
High rollers are unlikely to end up betting at BetShah as the bookmaker imposes a maximum on winnings over a 24-hour period of €100,000 (or the currency equivalent).
Games and more
The online casino is well-organised and offers hundreds of slots, table games, lottery games and virtual betting.
The casino features games from popular developers such as NetEnt, Play’n GO, Thunderkick, Red Tiger, ELK Studios, Quickspin and many other studios you may or may not have heard about.
Since Playtech is also a featured provider, customers are able to play some of the Age of the Gods jackpot slots, which can result in massive wins. Smaller jackpot slots include Divine Fortune and Mercy of the Gods from NetEnt.
The live casino section is massive, though it may not seem like it at first as the page only shows three rows of games. You need to scroll to the right to access further live table games or apply the filter on the left-hand side.
Andar Bahar and Teen Patti are among the popular Indian games also available at BetShah.
Another section are the TV Games, which appears to be a sort of live dealer section, where players get to join as they please.
The tournaments section is available for slot players who like a bit of extra excitement and the opportunity to win solid prizes that go a little further.
Unfortunately, BetShah does not currently offer a poker room or much in the way of lottery or bingo games.
Promotions and bonuses
BetShah offers a sports and a casino welcome bonus for new players, though you will only be able to claim one or the other.
The sports bonus requires a minimum deposit of INR 720 and offers a maximum bonus of INR 7,200, which is a 100% match deposit bonus.
The bonus is valid for 15 days and must be wagered 18x on odds of 1.8 or more before a withdrawal is possible. The maximum possible winnings for the bonus are INR 148,000.
In our opinion, the bonus terms are overly strict and difficult to complete if you wish to withdraw any of the winnings. Indeed, the win limit is also quite bothersome and another reason why we would not necessarily recommend claiming this bonus.
The casino bonus is not much better. Here you get a match deposit bonus for your first three deposit and a maximum of INR 24,000 in total. The bonus is also only available for 15 days and deposit and bonus must be wagered 35 times each. The maximum winnings here are only INR 40,000 and the bonus can only be used on Starburst, 7 Monkeys and the games from PopOK, which we have never heard of before.
Once again, we would not necessarily recommend that you claim this bonus as the bonus conditions are exceedingly difficult to meet and the reward may not be worth it either.
Beyond the welcome bonuses, BetShah also offers cashback and reload bonuses for sports and live casino gambling. Ultimately, only the tournaments seem to be worth your while for a chance to win something extra at BetShah.
BetShah is yet another sportsbook that has no separate banking page. The FAQs and terms and conditions are also not providing much information about banking at this bookmaker.
Only the homepage lists many of the available payment methods available here. These include:
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard)
- Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Tether)
There are more options listed, but these are generally the ones most interesting to Indian customers. Whilst these are very convenient banking methods, we don’t know anything about applicable fees or other useful information when it comes to making deposits and withdrawals.
BetShah promises a quick and easy KYC process, which is helpful. They also promise to process withdrawal requests within 72 hours.
Whilst the terms and conditions state the maximum daily win limit of €100,000 (or the currency equivalent), no maximum withdrawal limit is mentioned. Given that this is a smaller outfit, we would not be surprised to find that there is a withdrawal limit.
If you want to know more about banking at BetShah, you can either contact the customer support or sign up and visit the cashier, where further information will be available.
The customer service team at BetShah is available via live chat and email. From what we have learned, they are not available around the clock, but there is also no information as to the opening times or potential availability. If no one replies via live chat, you are better served sending an email.
An option to call does not seem to be available.
Of course, you can also browse the FAQs, which provide some useful information, but is also lacking in some regards. There are no details whatsoever about making deposits or withdrawals for instance.
Be sure to read the terms and conditions as well, though we can assure you that we have mentioned important details in our review.
The BetShah homepage is easy to use and responsive, which is a positive. It’s also relative attractive in that it is modern and has a pleasant colour scheme.
The sportsbook is quite cluttered, however, and the list of sports on the left-hand side of the homepage is not organised in a manner that we find useful. If you want to find your favourite sport to bet on, you have to simply scroll down and will hopefully find it somewhere. Since there is no alphabetical order or anything else that seems sensible, this is somewhat tedious.
We are also a little stumped about the general organisation of the sportsbook, though it doesn’t much affect the use of it.
The live betting section is a little better in that regard, but also requires a lot of scrolling before you might find what you are looking for.
The casino and live casino have a better organisation, though it is not always as intuitive as we would prefer. This scrolling to the right is just a little odd and most players are not likely used to this kind of navigation.
The mobile page takes a more classic approach and lets you scroll endlessly down, loading new games as you keep scrolling. We find the mobile sportsbook also easy and intuitive to use and would probably recommend it over the desktop page.
There are no separate apps for Android or iOS, but since the mobile page does a good job in itself, apps don’t seem necessary.
The site could profit from better organisation, which includes sorting the sports alphabetically. We would also like to see a separate banking page with all the relevant details.
Our two main issues are the daily win limit of €100,000 and the bonus conditions. Even if most people won’t even get close to that, it is still bothersome to have such a limit.
And the bonus terms are simply too harsh to make the bonuses worthwhile. You’ll be more concerned with meeting the wagering requirements than enjoying some extra fun. It would be quite difficult to meet the bonus conditions in order to be able to withdraw any winnings or even the bonus amount. As such, we can’t recommend claiming either welcome bonus. You will be better off without.
