Whilst it is always difficult to judge the trustworthiness of a new bookmaker or online casino, a look at the licenses they carry is certainly a good idea.

It’s actually a bit much and not quite clear where to go for newbies. But cricket is covered in the section for popular leagues as well as sorted alphabetically.

BetSteve has a welcome offer for the sportsbook and another one for casino players. Of course, new customers will only be able to use one of the other.

In the sportsbook, players can make a deposit of €10 (or the currency equivalent) and get a €10 free bet. Unfortunately, this will need to be wagered 10x at odds of 1.50 or higher, which you only get 7 days to do. The winnings are capped at €20, which is also a bit ridiculous.

Deposits via Skrill are not eligible for the welcome bonus.

Players at the casino, can claim up to €200 (or the currency equivalent) in bonus funds, which have to be wagered 50x in 30 days. The maximum winnings are 3x the bonus amount. Again, pretty strict and not necessarily recommended.

Beyond the two welcome offers, BetSteve does have quite a range of sports betting and casino promotions and bonuses available. At the bottom of the homepage are links for deposit and withdrawal options, which opens up pop-up windows, where you can get the most important information on all available deposit and withdrawal options.

Whilst there are not many deposit methods that you can use for INR, they do include credit cards, UPI banking, NetBanking, ecoPayz as well as the option to deposit cryptocurrencies.

Fewer options are available for withdrawals, as is the norm. Here you will have to be content using credit cards, Skrill or bank transfers.

The main let-down is the fact that withdrawals incur a few for every transaction. Additionally, there are weekly and monthly withdrawal limits, which is also somewhat restrictive. They usually don’t apply to jackpot wins, but if you win big elsewhere, you may have to get paid out in instalments.

Software

The site is truly a bit of a mess. Yes, you can find the main sections easily and the casino is well enough organised. But it’s not a good-looking online casino. Game icons are way too big and take up unnecessary space. Scrolling through the games takes forever when all games are loaded.

But the sportsbook is also a bit messy. The way everything is sorted in the main menu on the left-hand side is not immediately logical. It’s not tidy and it could have been narrowed down to fewer options, making searches easier and quicker.

The large banner at the top of the screen is also taking up too much space and completely useless. 

The design does have the makings of a good-looking page that could be great. It’s there but the potential isn’t realised.

You are better of trying out the mobile version of the page. There is no separate app, but the mobile site is more attractive and easier to use.

Summary

BetSteve does a few things quite well. Their cricket betting is definitely good, their customer service is commendable, and they have a great online casino with tons of good games. The sportsbook may look like a mess, but plenty of sports are covered here, which is great.

And customers from India have the option to deposit safely via UPI payments, which is a great advantage. 

On top of that, the casino is well-regulated and securely licensed, even though they are still new.

Withdrawal limitations, transaction fees, prohibitive bonus conditions and the website design are all items that need to be improved. We have seen that BetSteve is able to get better where they are lacking. So, hopefully these things will be fixed in the future as well.
