Guts Review

The Basics

Guts is relatively new, but it’s growing everyday and also has plenty of games and features, enough to rival some of the bigger and more established casinos out there. Guts is licensed in Malta and members from Europe to Australia can play as a result. The casino seems to be at its most popular in the United Kingdom, where they have seemingly focused most of their marketing efforts, but it’s growing in other countries as well.

Guts is certified as safe and is audited by eCogra, while also holding security certificates and a certification from the GPWA.

Guts is very easy to navigate and has a very clean and simple feel to it. Too often casinos feel the need to load extra slideshows, interactive ads and even embedded games in their main interface, and this can slow your computer down even if you operate a fast machine and use a fast connection. Guts doesn’t do this and everything is very slick and quick.

There is a search bar on the homepage to guide you to any specific game that you want to play, and below this you will find a number of categories that can also help. Guts has live dealer games, table games and a host of slots. It’s use of Microgaming means it has plenty of progressive slots and is always a couple of days away from a new release, while it’s use of Net Ent means it has some of the most attractive and innovative games on the market.

Guts can be played through your desktop browser (there is no need to download anything) or with your mobile device. In terms of offerings and layout, it pretty much ticks all boxes and we’re not left wanting in any area. It would be nice to see an additional poker room and/or bingo room, and a few sports betting markets wouldn’t go amiss either, but on the casino side of things it’s very solid.

There is no shortage of promotions available on Guts. That’s the beauty of a new casino with a big investment behind it, because they go out of their way to attract new players away from more established rivals. You can get a sizable new member bonus that comes in the form of a matched deposit bonus and ranges from around £100 to £400 (£300 at the time of writing). This has a slow play-through rate, but that’s to be expected and as long as you stick to the high RTP slots and don’t get carried away, you’ll be able to soar through.

There are cash back schemes for loyal members, although they tend to be short-lived and focused on specific games. There is also Thursday Triple and Double Deal Monday, which basically give you everything from free spins to reload bonuses on Mondays and Thursdays.

Banking Options

“Why wait” is the motto on Guts, and this is something they follow to a tee with their banking options. They are some of the quickest we have seen, as they don’t linger and don’t sit on your funds for an indeterminable amount of time. This is good to see not only because it makes for a great change to play on a site like this, but because it might set a precedent that the entire industry follows.

Players are wise these days. They know that payments can be processed quickly and they know that there is little to no reason for companies to hold them. The “Why wait” policy on Guts will only add fuel to that fire and could kick-start a big change.

You can use everything from PayPal and Skrill to credit cards and bank transfers to get money into and out of your casino account, and in all cases 90% of the wait time is entirely down to the payment provider. There are fees involved for some methods, and this is a bit of an annoyance. It’s acceptable to see small fees for credit card deposits and bank transfers, but in this day and age you wouldn’t expect to be charged to withdraw money to Neteller, PaySafe or Skrill, yet you will be.

As is to be expected, there is an extensive FAQ section on Guts, which seems to have become the norm for all betting sites. Most of the time this is okay. But there are sites that make it very difficult to get to an actual contact number and just send you into a maze of FAQs. Fortunately, Guts is not like that. The phone number is clearly listed, and you can also access the Live Chat facility without having to jump through any hoops.

The staff themselves is very responsive, if a little dry, and you can get in touch 24/7. Most of the time they will respond within 24 hours, but we have yet to encounter anything that was longer than 48 hours.

Guts is a solid site. It lacks the size of some of its competitors, but it’s also quicker and easier to navigate, so this is acceptable. However, it could do with some extra rooms, maybe a little more in terms of poker, bingo and sports betting, and it’s also baffling that they charge you to withdraw. Maybe they think this is okay because the withdrawals are so quick, but it’s not, and I’m sure many players would be happy to wait if it meant they would get more money.

Still, the fees are very small and all-in-all this is a decent site and one that should definitely be considered.
