SapphireBet

SapphireBet Summary

SapphireBet will look familiar to anyone who has placed a bet at 1xBet before. Both sites are running on the same platform, but don’t mistake one for the other. SapphireBet was initially launched in 2018 and has been welcoming customers from India for at least two years now.

Given their excellent selection of cricket events and betting options, you’re definitely going to want to check them out. Plus, they also have kabaddi betting available, which is an added bonus.

Then again, they offer one of the most comprehensive sportsbooks and online casinos we have seen lately. With all their other gambling products, you will find a full-service provider here that leaves hardly anything to be desired.

On top of that, SapphireBet is generally well reviewed, and you will find hardly any complaints about them. So, let’s take a closer look to find out whether they are for you!

SapphireBet Review

Trustworthiness

SapphireBet is operated by Hermes Consulting Company N.V., a company registered and licensed in Curacao. As you will know, Curacao isn’t our favourite gambling jurisdiction, which generally means we judge sites under their license based on their own merit. Some do better than others and SapphireBet is certainly among those that are doing really quite well, having established a solid reputation.

We not only look at reviews from similar sites such as ours, but also look for player comments and reviews. SapphireBet has garnered a good amount of positive feedback all around with players seeming quite happy here. We also haven’t found major complaints about them. Indeed, the number of complaints we encountered was very small, especially for a site that has already been around for a few years.

All things considered, we consider SapphireBet trustworthy as well. They have proven through their conduct that they are a bookmaker that treats customers fairly, which we appreciate. Of course, we do still recommend you make up your own mind and test them thoroughly.

Cricket betting and other sports

When you visit SapphireBet from India, cricket is featured as a top sport and you will find well over a hundred events to bet on, which is great to see. There is plenty of pre-match betting on cricket available, something that is not always a given even when a lot of events are available for betting. Among the cricket events we found at the time of our review were:

  • IPL
  • International ICC World Cup 2023 Women
  • Hong Kong Morning League
  • Twenty20 New Zealand National Provincial Tournament A
  • Pakistan Super League
  • Sheffield Shield
  • Ford Trophy
  • Bangladesh Premier League
  • European Series T10
  • Hong Kong Saturday Championship
  • Vietnam Super League

And so much more. Big international events are very well covered here, but you can find betting on cricket on matches from around the world. It’s impressive and will not leave you wanting more. We doubt there could be more.

Of course, smaller matches only have a handful of markets available, but larger events will have more pre-match betting for you to enjoy. Once a match goes live, many more markets are added for the usual range of live betting excitement.

SapphireBet is a full-blown sportsbook and has much more to offer than cricket, of course. You will also find kabaddi betting here, football, table tennis, basketball, Muay Thai, ice hockey, American Football, rugby, bandy, badminton, hundreds of esports events, horse racing, special bets and even markets for betting on the weather. You want to bet on it, be sure to check out SapphireBet because they are likely to have it.

Plus, the odds are competitive, and you may even find some live streaming for the big events, though don’t count on it at all times.

Games and more

Given the platform SapphireBet is built on, you will find their games divided into several sections such as slots, sb games, tv games, live casino, poker and other games. This doesn’t make finding what you’re looking for easy, but hovering on each section gives you an idea of what is covered here.

There are well over 80 game providers available at SapphireBet, including Pragmatic Play, Quickspin, Amatic, Red Tiger, Betsoft, NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Play’n GO and many others.

You will find over 5,000 games at the SapphireBet casino, which should cover you for a few years. You have plenty of filter options to narrow down your selection, something that is always quite handy.

Thus, you will find hundreds of jackpot games here as well, though most we don’t know. And the big progressive jackpots are not available here. We did find the likes of Holmes and the Stolen Stones or Divine Fortune, but not Mega Fortune and with Microgaming not featured here, also no Mega Moolah.

The live casino is excellent as well, though. Here you can find Teen Patti, Andar Bahar and many other favourites.

Not to forget the poker network, which allows you to play live against players from just about anywhere in the world.

Promotions and bonuses

When you sign up at SapphireBet, you can choose a casino welcome bonus that gives you up to INR 121,240 and 170 free spins, a sports welcome bonus of INR 8700 or you can enable a free bet. You can also choose to not pick any of these right away and decide later.

The sports welcome bonus is quite familiar:

  • Register an account
  • Make a deposit of up to INR 8,700 to receive a 100% match bonus on top of the same value
  • Minimum deposit is INR 87
  • Wager the bonus funds 5x on accumulator bets of at least 3 selections and combined odds of 1.40 or higher
  • Keep in mind that funds may not be withdrawn before the wagering requirements are met
  • You have 30 days to complete wagering

The casino welcome bonus covers your first four deposits, which includes a bunch of free spins added on top of each deposit. Since wagering requirements are 35x the bonus amounts within 7 days, it is usually not the bonus we would recommend, however.

As for the free bet, we are not sure. Whilst it is an option you can enable upon registering your account, it isn’t listed in the Promo section, and we couldn’t find further information about it.

Beyond those offers, SapphireBet also currently has some cashback promotions for casino and sportsbook users, a bonus for installing the mobile app, bet insurances and the occasional boost available. There is usually plenty going on if you are interested in added incentives.

Banking options

Visiting the sportsbook, you will find a little “$” in the top left-hand corner. That is where you will find the available payment methods at SapphireBet.

Mostly, you will find cryptocurrencies here, but customers in India will also be able to use AstroPay, UPI payments, PayTM, ecoPayz and Jeton Wallet.

There are certainly fewer options than we have seen elsewhere. The complete list of banking methods will be available at the cashier, which you can see once you are logged into your account.

There are the usual limits when making transactions, though the minimum deposits are quite small. Transactions are fast and no fees are charged.

The FAQ section also answers some questions around deposits and withdrawals, which is useful and requires a lot less digging than we had to do elsewhere. They even tell you that SapphireBet does not impose withdrawal limits, though individual payment providers have transaction limits.

Keep in mind that you will also have to go through the KYC process here, which we recommend you get done sooner rather than later to avoid hassle once you want to make a withdrawal.

Support

First of all, we’re happy to see that SapphireBet does have a FAQ section. It’s not huge, but it does cover some important questions that we have to go far to have answered elsewhere. There are the terms and conditions as well, of course, which covers a lot of subjects you want to be aware of before signing up here.

Everything else is a matter for customer support, which is available around the clock via live chat. Additionally, there are various email contacts, covering different areas such as technical support, security, marketing and others. Or you can simply fill in a web form to submit your query as well.

Of course, using the live chat is the easiest and most convenient way to get a quick answer to your questions, so we just recommend that here.

Software

Since SapphireBet comes in a familiar layout and design, we do find the same issues here we have seen at other sites using this platform. The site feels very cluttered when you’re in the sportsbook. There is just so much going on here and it can be overwhelming for newbies. You can collapse some menus or the bet slip, but it still feels cluttered.

The casino section is more pleasant to use as it feels a lot tidier and there is just a lot less going on.

The mobile view also helps and makes the sportsbook more attractive and easier to use.

Overall, we do like the colour scheme at SapphireBet, which comes in lovely shades of darker blue and highlights that are dark gold or copper if you prefer. The casino looks quite elegant. It would be great if the sportsbook would follow that design as well.

Therefore, we would point you towards the mobile page, which keeps things tidier. Of course, mobile apps for iOS and Android are also available for download, catering to the ever-increasing market of mobile users.

Final thoughts

To be honest, whenever we see another betting site that is built on this all-too-familiar platform, we want to go “not again”. Not another one. It’s like, there are other options. And our complaints about the design tend to be the same as well. Plus, that nagging feeling that these are just clones of the same betting site.

But SapphireBet has certainly managed to surprise us. They have established a good reputation and have found favour with their customers, which can be a difficult thing to do. Complaints are few and far, and the cricket betting here is definitely worth checking them out. There aren’t many things we would like to see improved, most prominently the cluttered design, so there is really no reason why we can’t recommend them to you.
