Needless to say, the Curacao license is not our favourite, and we wish more bookmakers offering their service to customers in India would hold further international licenses. It goes a long way towards ensuring trustworthiness and safety for the customer.

We found no issues that were worrisome, though we do have reason not to recommend the use of their current (rather old-fashioned) sportsbook. The betting exchange at Sky247 is powered by Betfair, which is just about the best platform you can possibly get. It is simple, easy to use and most importantly, tried and true.

At the time of our review, the betting exchange offered markets for cricket, soccer, tennis and kabaddi. That’s not a lot but certainly the type of sports most punters from India are especially interested in.

The sportsbook offers additional sports to bet on, but since we didn’t like the sportsbook as a whole, we would not really recommend that you use it. A new sportsbook seems to be launched soon, so we are hoping it will be better than what is currently available.

In any case, cricket betting events to bet on at the exchange are:

As you can see, the number 247 plays a prominent role, but a lot of the offers are worth checking out and its entertaining to see how this number was implemented in each offer.

Here you will find a list of deposit options available to customers from India, applicable transaction limits and other details. Here, too, the number 247 plays a curious role as the minimum deposit for all methods is indeed INR 247 and the maximum is INR 247,000 for most methods.

Overall, Sky247 is doing a good job here and you should not have many problems getting your questions answered.

Software

When you launch the Sky247 homepage, the black and gold design looks modern and a little fancy. The layout is tidy, the menu looks clean without any unnecessary gimmicks. It is a pleasant design and navigation is easy.

The only section with subcategories is the sports section, where you hover to expand the submenu to access the betting exchange, the sportsbook and kabaddi betting. There is also an announcement for more sports coming soon. We are seriously hoping that a new sportsbook will be launched there as the current sportsbook (of which kabaddi is merely a separate section) is awful. You’ll be taken to an external site that is old-fashioned, unattractive and not great to use at all. That’s why this is more a review for the betting exchange than the actual sportsbook.

The betting exchange is powered by Betfair, and you can tell because it very much looks like it. Also, a little old-fashioned but easy to use and convenient.

The mobile page is very similar to the desktop page in all aspects, which means there is no improvement to the sportsbook. Alternatively, you can download a mobile app directly to your phone when you visit the mobile page, though it is not clear whether this is available for iOS and Android or just the latter.

The app seems to focus more on the betting exchange, which is a good thing here.

Summary

Sky247 feels much newer than it actually is. What baffles us is that there are so few reviews available online, though we also couldn’t find anything worrisome about them and their sister site BetBarter left a good impression with us.

There are a few things we like about Sky247, which includes the betting exchange, the clean design (for the most part), the easily accessible information and the bonuses and promotions. Their live casino is also good and offers some solid games for fans.

The sportsbook is one of the worst we have seen when it comes to design and user-friendliness. That doesn’t mean you don’t get solid markets here and a good variety of sports to bet on. We just hope that there will be a new sportsbook sooner rather than later, which we will hopefully be able to recommend without hesitation.
