WhatsBet Review

Trustworthiness

WhatBet.in displays a license from the Isle of Man and is apparently also licensed through PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation). Two licenses are definitely better than one, though we found barely any information regarding their trustworthiness beyond those licenses.

On Trustpilot, two customers appear to be quite happy, but that’s about the extent of our findings.

As always with new bookmakers and online casinos, tread carefully. Make small deposits, play around a little and make a few withdrawals before risking more cash.

Cricket betting and other sports

The sportsbook is linked to an external site and is run on the SBTech platform. Thus, we can be certain to get a professional offering of sports betting, including cricket betting.

At the time of our reviews, betting options for the following cricket events were available:

  • Momentum One Day Cup
  • ODI matches
  • Big Bash League
  • Various test matches
  • The Ashes
  • Nz Super Smash and Super Smash Women
  • Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
  • Twenty20 World Cup
  • World Cup 2023

The handful of available markets for an event such as the Momentum One Day Cup included

  • Winner Full Time
  • Team Highest 1st 15 Overs
  • 1st Wicket Method
  • A Fifty Score in Match
  • A Hundred Score in Match
  • 1st Over Total Runs
  • To Win the Toss
  • Winner Most Run Outs

As well as a few more. It’s not the selection you might get at a bigger international sportsbook, but it’s actually quite good for what you can expect from a small enterprise.

The good news is, besides cricket there are about 30 other sports to be on, which is great for everyone who likes to bet on a variety of sports. Yes, markets are fewer than at bigger sportsbooks, but the odds are reasonably competitive.

Games and more

WhatsBet.in aims to provide gamblers with a full range of gambling products, which include a live casino, slots and table games. There is a ‘Cards’ section, which takes players to a different area. It seems, here they get Poker games.

A ‘Fishing’ section offers games from two providers, though it’s unclear what one might be fishing for as you need to have an account before you can enter.

E-sports also get a separate section, which is quite welcome.

Promotions and bonuses

Upon signing up, players at WhatsBet can look forward to a no-deposit bonus of INR 200. That’s not a lot, but it’s free cash, so who’s to complain? It comes with a rollover requirement of 3x and a winning cap of INR 1,000. That’s not too bad for a no-deposit bonus.

There are three welcome offers for the sportsbook, casino and live casino. The sportsbook offer gives new players a 100% match bonus and up to INR 5,000. Here the rollover requirement is 8x. It’s not mentioned what the minimum odds are that one might have to bet the bonus on to meet the rollover requirements.

Overall, the bonus terms are quite fair at WhatsBet and the handful of promotions are worth checking out.

There’s also a VIP Club that rewards active players. There are five levels to go through and rewards such as birthday presents, or increased withdrawals limits are available.

Banking options

On the WhatsBet homepage, you can see that NetBanking, GPay, PayTM, UPI and local bank transfers are available to make deposits and withdrawals. However, there’s no separate banking page for further information and the help section seems to be incomplete. It looks rather as if a template has been used to answer various questions, but relevant details are missing.

So, you might have to contact the customer support to get further information before you get started here. The good news is, there is a daily withdrawal limit of INR 1,200,000, which can be increased through the VIP membership, though that’s actually quite a big amount.

Support

Speaking of support, the live chat is available 24/7 and quite prominent in the bottom right-hand corner. We need only write a message there and someone will be available quite quickly to help us out.

The help section is, as mentioned, insufficient and needs some work. But as long as the live chat is always open, we’re good.

Software

Unsurprisingly, India’s colours rule the design of this casino and sportsbook. There’s a lot of green, some orange and some white. The overall appearance is pleasant, though neither classy nor particularly modern.

The homepage is well-organised and it’s not difficult to find your way around. The main problem is that some links will open up a new tab, which is somewhat annoying and unnecessary. It gives the impression that half the products on offer are hosted elsewhere and it takes a moment before a site fully loads.

The main menu with all the important links can be folded away, which is useful at times.

The mobile page looks almost exactly like the desktop site and for anyone interested, apps for iOS and Android can be downloaded directly through the site.

Summary

WhatsBet is an interesting offer, designed for customers from India. You get a comprehensive sportsbook with reasonable odds, plenty of slots and live games to play, some oddities such as ‘Fishing’, a VIP club and good promotions.

The operator has barely left a mark online, however, and we can’t really say much about their trustworthiness or reputation. They are properly licensed, which is giving us hope. Other than that, we can only reiterate that you should be careful with your deposits and thoroughly test them without making a big investment.
