But the Auckland Central Districts bowlers exploited the conditions well and hunted in a pack to reduce the Otago charge to just 133 runs all out from 25.4 overs. Doug Bracewell picked up 3 wickets for 38 runs while Seth Rance did even better to pick up 3 scalps for 29 runs. Raymond Toole also picked up a couple of wickets for 35 runs.
