Abu Dhabi Knight Riders

The Abu Dhabi Knight Riders lost their opening match by a whopping 73 runs. None of their players performed to expectations and the end result was a pretty sorry state of affairs. Paul Stirling was the only one who scored a fifty and showed some semblance of a fight but something just seemed a bit off about the team. 

Colin Ingram, Andre Russell, Akeal Hosein, and Sunil Narine are all gun T20 players that take a lot of pride in their performances. They should be able to regroup and offer up more of a fight. We also think Brandon King could play a big role in the matches to come. 

Ravi Rampaul, Akeal Hosein, Andre Russell, Ali Khan, and Sunil Narine all bowled in the previous match. Once again, this is a lineup that you expect to do reasonably well against most opponents. We don't think you should lose hope in the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders after one poor performance. 

Gulf Giants

The Gulf Giants are the underdogs coming into this match but we think they have a very dangerous team as well. Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Lynn (in great form during the BBL), James Vince (runs in the BBL as well), and David Wiese are all part of the lineup. 

We also rate Tom Banton and Ollie Pope very highly, both of whom are going to turn up for the Gulf Giants. 

C Rizwan and Ayan Afzal Khan could be the associate players that get a look-in for this match. There is a lot of batting depth and talent in this lineup. Perhaps one question mark would be their adaptability on the slow UAE surfaces but we are not too worried about that. 

Chris Jordan, Dominic Drakes, Qais Ahmad, and Richard Gleeson could all be in the playing eleven giving the Gulf Giants a fantastic bowling attack.
