Matthew Short and Chris Lynn were batting well and compensating for a lot of the batting shortcomings. In recent matches, though, neither of them has managed to score runs and the Strikers have struggled.
Players like Hose, Nielsen, and de Grandhomme need to start repaying some faith.
We think Short and Hose are the two players that are likely to get some runs for the Strikers as they appear to be in the best form of all the batters.
Henry Thornton has picked up 14 wickets and is having the BBL season of his dreams. His brilliant bowling has been well supported by Wes Agar, Rashid Khan, and Peter Siddle. We like the bowling unit fo the Adelaide Strikers but to expect the bowling to bail out the batters in every match is not realistic either.

How long before Marcus Stoinis returns to the opening slot where he has been at his best for the Melbourne Stars?
Nick Larkin, Hilton Cartwright, and Thomas Rogers are not great T20 batters. They will have their days but we don't think anyone in the BBL is thinking they are going to be consistent match winners.

The bowling lineup for the Melbourne Stars has not been at its best either. Adam Zampa has picked up just 6 wickets and Trent Boult has four in the season. Luke Wood is the only bowler that has been getting wickets consistently.
