About the Match
Finally, we are back with new cricket betting tips
, and this time it is one for the Caribbean Premier League, as you guys requested. Enjoy!
As we move into halfway stage in Caribbean Premier League, table toppers Barbados Tridents are set to take on Antigua Hawkbills. This important clash will be played on 13th August 2013. While the men from Barbados have been in tremendous touch, the Hawkbills have struggled to get desired results. Barbados Tridents are well placed at the top of the table and a win will only cement their place, if not seal the final berth. However, it is a tricky situation for Antigua Hawkbills. They’ve won just one game out of three and are at fourth spot in the table. A win would certainly take them closer to the top spot, but they’d need more victories in their upcoming games. This game still remains very crucial for both the sides, for one to seal the spot and for other to stay in the hunt.
The Antiguan squad is full of West Indies’ stars with Samuels and Charles being a couple of them. They have T20 stars in Justin Kemp and Ben Rohrer. They have a good batting lineup which hasn’t fired as they and their fans would have liked. Roach bolsters their bowling attack in combination with some good local talent. With power hitters like Samuels and Johnson at their disposal, the Hawkbills would like to get a better total than they’ve managed throughout the whole summer. Antigua Hawkbills have a side which is certainly capable of beating any side, and men like Samuels and Kemp only add to their experience.
Barbados Tridents have enjoyed this Caribbean Summer and results show that. Out of four games, they haven’t lost even one. On most occasions, the hero of their victories has been Shoaib Malik who has amassed 147-runs in four innings. Kieren Pollard too has scored some runs and is just above the century mark as total tournament runs are concerned. Nurse has been pick of their bowlers as he has taken 9-wickets. Shakib al Hasan might have failed in batting department, but he has looked lethal with his turning and clever deliveries. It is of no surprise that this team is at the top of the table and it won’t be surprising at all if they continue their winning run.
It is a tricky and perhaps a must win game for Antigua Hawkbills who have struggled to keep up to the expectations. Can they bounce back in the tournament with a victory against a side which is yet to be beaten? It’s hard to do, but is certainly possible. However, considering their form and the form of their opponents, the opposite result is more probable. With Shoaib Malik and Kieren Pollard in rocking form combined with excellent bowling in prime form, the Tridents are expected to be on the winning side yet another time.
