Bangladesh has dominated the inexperienced West Indies team with ease in the first two matches. It now is going to try and attempt to clean sweep the visitors by winning the third and final ODI.
The West Indies team has been poor so far. They are playing in conditions that are very foreign to them but they have not shown any application to try and get past their problems. It is going to take something herculean for the West Indies to be able to get on the scoreline here.
Bangladesh vs West Indies 3rd ODI 2021 is going to be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury, Chattogram on the 25th of January 2021.
We don’t think Bangladesh has really been tested so far in this series. Its spinners have not been put under pressure and the batsmen have not had a decent total to chase. It may want to change things up and make it a bit more challenging for itself this time around.
Shakib and Mahidy Hasan have been the bowlers of the tournament so far. They have got a lot of help from the surface and made the most of it. The move to Chattogram, though, could make life a bit harder for them as the surface is expected to be more batsman-friendly.
Tamim Iqbal got a fifty in the previous match and Shakib got some runs as well. With Liton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Soumya Sarkar in the side, Bangladesh is a much stronger batting lineup.
They have all the advantages and really should not lose 99 times out of 100.
Liton Das, Tamim Iqbal, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Mahmudullah, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mehidy Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.
Two complete batting failures do not raise hopes about what we can expect in the third. The conditions are going to be better than in the previous match and that is something that we are hopeful is going to allow them to put up a better show.
Still, the batting order just looks too weak right now.
Rovman Powel is the best batsman for the West Indies right now but that is not saying much. He bats really down the order and we don’t think he is going to be able to win many matches at number seven if the top-order does not play its part.
Kyle Mayers was another batsman we were looking forward but his form has been very disappointing as well.
Among the bowlers, a similar story plays out. The medium-pacers are ineffective on this surface and Akeal Hossain is just not good enough to trouble the Bangladeshi batsmen in their home conditions.
Things look tough for the West Indies and we don’t think they are going to get dramatically better in this match.
Sunil Ambris, Kjorn Ottley, Jahmar Hamilton, Jason Mohammed, Kyle Mayers, NE Bonner, Rovman Powell, Raymon Reifer, Keon Harding, Alzarri Joseph, Akeal Hosein.
The team that wins the toss may want to field first. The fielding team has won the previous two matches and that may influence the winning captain.

The conditions should be a bit better for batting in Chattogram. The pitch is usually flatter and has more pace in it. The spinners will get some assistance like they always do but the batsmen should be able to score more freely.
A total of around 270 should be seen as par batting first.
We think Bangladesh is the overwhelming favorite and there is not much value here but betting against them is suicidal.
Bet on Bangladesh to win.
