About the Match
India is playing an away 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh at Dhaka, the 1st of which is starting on 15th June. The Bangladesh team last played an ODI series against Sri Lanka at home, which the Sri Lankans won 3-0, whereas the Indians last played an ODI series against New Zealand which they lost 4-0. The two countries have very good budding talents and every player will be out there to prove their full potential.
Bangladesh has a young team led by Mushfiqur Rahim, who has a great experience of playing in 129 ODIs scoring 2780 runs with an average of 28.08 runs and the youngest of the players is Taskin Ahmed who is a left arm pacer making his debut for the national team. Abdur Razzak, Tamim Iqbal and Musharaffe Murtaza are the most experienced players besides the captain, who have rendered great service to the national team so far. Sohag Gazi is a great spinne who can create sensations along with Shakib Al Hassan who is a great all-rounder and proved to be a very useful player for Kolkata Knight Riders in the recently concluded IPL in which he demonstrated his abilities, helping the team to win the coveted competition. Nasir Hossain, Abdur Razzak and Mominul Haque are also very effective spin bowlers who can surpise the opponents. Mortaza and Amin Hossain can open the bowling with venom and dent the opponent; as a whole the Bangladesh team is a good combination of strong batsmen and a variety of bowlers.
India has rested its leading players like Dhoni, Sehwag, Dhawan, Rohit to give an opportunity to the budding players who played with great promise in the IPL7, playing for different teams and rightfully selected a young team under the captaincy of Suresh Raina who was very impressive playing for the Chennai Super Kings. Robin Uthappa showed-off his talent, winning almost every match for Kolkata Knight Riders opening the innings with Gambhir after the first 3-4 matches. His contribution mattered in every win leading the team to lift the IPL 2014 trophy. Wriddhiman Saha , Akshar Patel, Amit Mishra, Ambati Rayudu have all played very well and hence have come with their own claim to be in the national team and are out to prove their worth. Pujara is an old horse who has the capacity to play from the start and carry the bat through; Mohit Sharma was most effective bowler for Chennai Super Kings opening the bowling attack. Vinay Kumar, Manoj Tiwary, Ajinkya Rahane have all played very well and will use the opportunity in the national level against the robust Bangladesh team.
It will be a very tough series for India, as Bangladesh has been playing good cricket of late against most of the teams. They have experience and talent and will definitely give a very tough fight, though, the Indian team has better potential and is expected to win the match and take the series.
