The Road Safety World Series 2021 has been a surprisingly fun series to watch! The standard of cricket has been good and it is great to see former legends still not want to give an inch on the field. Of course, this is not the kind of T20 cricket that you can compare with the IPL or other leagues, however, nostalgia has a powerful pull too!
The next match is going to be played between the Bangladesh legends and the Sri Lanka Legends. Bangladesh is still looking for its first win of the series while Sri Lanka appears to be one of the strongest teams on show. Will we see an upset in this match or will the islanders continue their winning run?
Bangladesh legends vs Sri Lanka Legends Road Safety World Series 2021 is going to be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur on the 10th of March 2021.
It is difficult to find too many good things to say about the Bangladesh legends. They have been honest triers but have looked a league apart from the other teams. The batting has been quite poor and they have not been able to get enough runs in even a single game played so far.
The bowling was expected to put up a better show but unfortunately, that too has not been up to the mark.
Bangladesh lost Khaled Mashud to injury in the previous game and it is unlikely he is going to take part. That is going to weaken their batting even more.
Nazimuddin is the one batsman that can possibly make a match-winning impact at the top of the order but he seems to lack the support needed. Among the bowlers, Mohammad Sharif and Mohammad Rafique are the two bowlers that we rate pretty high.
Nazimuddin, Javed Omar, Mehrab Hossain, Hannan Sarkar, Rajin Saleh, Khaled Mashud, Mushfiqur Rahman, Mohammad Rafique, Mohammad Sharif, Alamgir Kabir, Abdur Razzak.
Sri Lanka flexed its muscles in the previous match against South Africa and showed just how difficult it is going to be to get past. The bowling was right on the money as the spinners never gave an inch.
Tilakaratne Dilshan, Rangana Herath, Sanath Jayasuriya, and Ajantha Mendis were all difficult to score off. It also helps that the two fast-bowlers in the team are Nuwan Kulasekara and Dhammika Prasad, both players that were playing for Sri Lanka till as recently as last year.
Sri Lanka’s bowling is very strong and right up there with the best in the tournament.
The batting led by Tilakaratne Dilshan. He scored 50 not out in the previous match and is still striking the ball as cleanly as in his prime! With Sanath Jayasuriya, Upul Tharanga, and Chamara Silva, Russell Arnold in the lineup, Sri Lanka Legends have more than enough depth to be able to counter the loss of early wickets should that happen.
TM Dilshan, Sanath Jayasuriya, WU Tharanga, Chamara Silva, Malinda Warnapura, Russel Arnold, Farveez Maharoof, Dulanjana Wijesinghe, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dhammika Prasad, Thilan Thushara.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bowl first. All the matches so far have been won by the team that has fielded first and so the captain that wins the toss would want to do the same thing.

The conditions in Raipur have been very good for batting. The ball has come on nicely to the bat and there has been very little help for the spinners. If anything, batting seems to become easier under lights and so the chasing team has a distinct advantage.
A score of around 150-160 should be seen as par batting first, particularly if Sri Lanka bats first.
We have no hesitation in backing Sri Lanka Legends in this match. There is not too much value in the bet but we just cannot see Bangladesh legends being able to pull this one off. The gulf in the teams is just too vast.
Bet on Sri Lanka Legends to win.
Dilshan is in great form and even managed to get 50 in the last match when the target was less than 90! He is striking the ball cleanly and more importantly, he has the hunger to succeed and win every match. He is very good against the spinners and we think he could destroy the Bangladeshi bowling.
