With so many legends playing after several long years, the Road Safety series has certainly attracted several eyeballs towards it. Two Asian teams are dominating the points table with Sri Lanka leading the pack. India are right behind them and will be looking to get to the top when they get out on the field in their next encounter. The next match of the series is to be played between West Indies Legends and Bangladesh Legends. Given that both sides are struggling due to their own reasons, it is expected to be a cracker of a contest.
Not only Bangladesh Legends have done poorly in the tournament, but they have also been the worst-performing side so far. Their net run-rate of -3.306 exhibits how poor they have been. They have already lost three matches in a row and will need a miracle to qualify for the next round. Having said that, this upcoming match could perhaps be the match they'll be looking forward to winning.
In their most recent encounter, they were defeated heavily by Sri Lanka Legends. Bangladesh got off to a terrific start as they sent back Tillakaratne Dilshan and Sanath Jayasuriya in a relatively quick time, but lack of sharpness in the middle over cost them the match. Upul Tharanga single-handedly thrashed all their bowlers as Sri Lanka posted a tall total of 180 runs on the board. In reply, Bangladesh Legends could score a total of only 138, losing the match by 42 runs.
Bangladesh's story of the tournament is not too different as compared to how it panned out in the last match. They do not have a balanced side, at least on paper, and rely heavily on only a few players. Besides, as seen in the last match, their bowling lacks sharpness at the death and is likely to struggle at the death. Although it's going to be difficult, if they can get that right, beating Bangladesh is going to be extremely difficult.

Right above Bangladesh on the points table are West Indies with zero points to their name. While West Indies have been as bad as Bangladesh in the tournament, they have done just enough to keep their net run-rate a little in control. At the moment, West Indies have a net run-rate of -0.685, which they can overcome with only a couple of good wins in their next few matches. Another loss here, however, should mean curtains for West Indies as well.
West Indies have played two games thus far and were defeated by Sri Lanka legends in both of those matches. The margin of their losses was pretty similar and that highlights the fact that West Indies didn't really improve in any of their three completed matches. In their last match, they put a total of 157 runs on the board and that total was chased by Sri Lanka rather easily.
On paper, West Indies have a decent side, but the lack of recent cricketers is hurting their chances. Arguably, they have a stronger bowling unit as compared to their batting and they would need to be wary of that. If they can get their batting woes sorted, West Indies will be a tough nut to crack.

Both sides have done poorly in the tournament so far and for both of them, a win is a must-required result to go forward in the tournament. Comparing the two sides on paper, West Indies seem to be a slightly better side, on paper as well as on performance. For that reason, West Indies Legends stand a better chance to register a win here and get off the mark.
