About the Match
The Bulls surged ahead in league rankings with a big win against Vikings by 33 runs in the last match and have accumulated 6 points to occupy second position; they will now take on Dynamites, who are on a winning streak with 6 points already and are at the fourth spot, on 1st December at Chittagong. The Dynamites had defeated Super Stars in their last match to climb up the table but will need to win this if they want to improve their ranking; the Bulls, on the other hand will be eager to continue with their winning momentum. It needs to be seen which team can use the resources they have cleverly to outwit the opponent on Tuesday.
Batting first against Vikings, they got off to a shaky start losing 3 wickets by the 3rd over but Mahmudullah stuck his feet firmly to get the scoreboard ticking; he posted a well-made 51 off 45 deliveries while the tail-enders contributed with a good 46 runs in the end to take the total to 170. Mehedi Maruf, Prasanna and Cooper played useful knocks and the others must pull up their socks in the upcoming game in order to set up a solid foundation.
The bowlers led by Kevon Cooper defended the total well and helped them win the match by a massive 33 runs; Copper took 3 wickets while Al-Amin Hossain continued on his good form by claiming 2 wickets. Mohammad Sami, Taijul Islam and Mahmudullah contributed with a wicket each and they certainly bring variety to the attack.
They had won their opening two games but suffered defeat against the Victorians; the recent victory definitely has boosted their morale and they look well placed to take on the hard-hitting Dynamites on Tuesday.
They had defeated Super Stars in the previous game by 34 runs after posting a competitive 166 runs batting first; Sangakkara is in very good form and it was quite apparent in his 75-runs off 56 balls that surged them forward towards a comfortable target. There was support from Nasir Hossain who scored 33 off 29 while others tried to keep the scoreboard ticking.
The bowling unit defended the total helping them win the match; Mosharraf Hossain was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 3-15 while Mustafizur Rahman, Abul Hasan and Yasir Shah showed brilliance as they took 2 wickets each. Overall, the players looks super charged to yet again come out with all their firepower to outwit the opposition.
If the batsmen can build strong partnerships and keep a cool head above their shoulders, they can definitely prove to be a stiff challenge, especially with experienced batsmen like Sangakkara in their team.
Both teams have won their last games and will be eager to repeat their performance on Tuesday; while the Bulls have a good bowling unit, the Dynamites look better placed to come out all guns blazing and win the match here
