The Barbados Tridents have won just one match out of the four they have played and they now take on the very dangerous Jamaica Tallawahs. As has become the norm in the CPL, the Jamaica Tallawahs have been underperforming in this edition as well. They have one won from three matches (would have completed a fourth by the time this match gets underway).
Both the Tridents and Tallawahs need this win badly to get the CPL T20 campaign back on track. There are still a lot of matches to be played but none of the teams want to be in the bottom two for too long otherwise getting back up the table is going to be pretty difficult.
Barbados Tridents vs Jamaica Tallawahs CPL T20 2020 is going to be played at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad on the 26th of August 2020.
The Tridents have struggled in CPL 2020 because of their batting. There seems to be something missing in the lineup that is preventing them from getting the big scores needed to compete. We don’t know if Shai Hope is being persisted with at the top of the order because the team management believes in him or because there is no other alternative.
Johnson Charles has shown a lot of aggression but has not been able to carry on for a big score just yet. Same with Kyle Mayers. There is definite talent there but not enough consistency at the moment.
Jason Holder, Corey Anderson, Ashley Nurse, and Rashid Khan make up the middle and lower-middle order for the Barbados Tridents. There is hard-hitting potential but a fifty from any one of these players is going to be a surprise rather than something you expect regularly.
The bowling is also a little bit unbalanced. There are four spinners in the playing eleven apart from the all-rounders and the fast bowlers. Ashley Nurse was one of the best bowlers in the previous match and yet did not get a single over. Mitchell Santner did not finish his quota of overs and neither did Raymon Riefer.
Jason Holder’s captaincy needs some major improvement in the T20 format.

The most dysfunctional side of the CPL is once again up to its self-destruction tricks. We think they may prefer the surface at the Queen’s Park Oval, though. The pitch is better for batting and is going to suit the big-hitters that line the Tallawahs lineup.
They are not the most comfortable against spin and that is going to be a challenge but the Tridents have not been taking advantage of the resources at their disposal.
Keep in mind, however, that this strong batting lineup full of power-hitters could only get 104 for the loss of seven wickets in its previous match. That includes 52 from 37 balls by Andre Russell with five sixes in there as well.
Chadwick Walton is having a horror start to the campaign and needs some runs under his belt. He and Glenn Phillips have to find a way to get the side to a good start and possibly play through the inning.
Nkrumah Bonner was a good addition to the side and could play a holding role while the other bat around him.
Rovman Powell, Asif Ali, and Carlos Brathwaite all have big reputations but they need to start delivering on that potential now. The fact that Andre Russell is in good batting form must make all the other teams very nervous, though.
Mujeeb ur Rehman and Sandeep Lamichhane are the bowlers to watch out for. They picked up five wickets combined in their previous match and are going to be confident against the Barbados Tridents lineup.
We wonder if Oshane Thomas is going to get another go after his horror one over for 24 performance in the previous match. The Jamaica Tallawahs have a lot going for them on paper but that is not translating to performances on the field.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. Defending a total is proving to be difficult at the Queen's Park Oval.

A nice and sunny day has been forecast in Port of Spain for this match. That means we should get good batting conditions and no interruptions because of the weather. The pitch is very flat and has nothing in it for the bowlers. If anything, the slower bowlers can get a bit of turn but nothing that will alarm the batsmen.
A score of around 165-175 seems the minimum that teams will be looking for batting first.
Dream11 team and Dream11 tips for BT vs JT CPL T20 2020
Both the teams playing this match have been disappointing. The Barbados Tridents will be low on confidence after their loss to the Patriots while the Jamaica Tallawahs are capable of self-destruction at any point.
We are still backing them in this match, though, because we think the conditions at the Queen’s Park Oval are going to be in their favor and allow them to play their best cricket.
Bet on the Jamaica Tallawahs to win.
This a fantastic bet that we really like. Any two players, batsmen or tail-enders, need to get out without scoring for you to win this match. Cnosidering the inconsistent and vulnerable batting on both sides, this is well worth a punt. The returns are pretty good too.
This is a low-reutrn but relatively safe bet. The pitch at the Queen's Park Oval is good for batting and the weather forecast is pretty favorable as well. If any one of the batsmen on either side gets a fifty, you get paid. We know this is the betting world but a 25% return in just a few hours is nothing to scoff at!
this is an easy annd simple bet. If the first ball of both innings is a dot ball, you get paid. Even T20 cricket requires a bit of time before getting under the way and it is very common for the first ball to be a dot ball. The risk here are the unknown variables which could alter the batsmen's behavior such as target, bowler they are facing, and field placing. Still worth a punt though.
