Bellary Tuskers

It's been a while since Tuskers played a game in the tournament and the rest of the good three days should have done a world of good for them. They finished the league stage better placed than any other side in the tournament with eight points to their name. The Tuskers won four matches and lost two out of a total of six played.

They are coming into this match on the back of two high-scoring results, one favorable and the other unfavorable. They lost their last league game to Mysuru Warriors despite scoring a mammoth total of 240 batting first. Their bowlers looked out of sorts in that inconsequential match as the Warriors scripted a record chase to overhaul their total.

Their bowlers made amends in the next game, the first qualifier, as they restricted Belgavi Panthers to 164 in defense of 201. Batting first, CM Gautam looked in superb form as he smashed Panthers' bowlers all around the park. He got ample support from CA Karthik, Zeeshan Ali, and Devdutt Padikkal, as the Tuskers racked up that towering total. In reply, they were top-notch with the ball as Prasidh Krishna gave got them off to a tight first few overs. KP Appanna proved to be their most successful bowler and returned with the impressive figures of 26 for 2 in his three overs.

All in all, they have an exceptional side which looks even more balanced with almost all their batsmen as well as bowlers looking in prime form. Their bowlers learned from their mistakes quickly as they bounced back after a dismal performance. If they continue to do like they've done in the tournament so far, the Tigers will have their work cut out.

Hubli Tigers

After finishing third on the points table, the Tigers went on to register back to back wins in the eliminator and the qualifier respectively to slide into the grand finale of Karnataka Premier League - 2019.

They finished with six points to their name in the league stage, thanks to three wins. They had a net run-rate of -0.282, which shows that the magnitude of their losses was a tad more than that of their victories.

In their last two matches, however, the Tigers have done pretty well in both the departments of the game, more so with the ball. Against Belgavi Panthers, their batsmen managed to put on just 154 runs on the board, but their bowlers bowled beautifully to restrict the Panthers to only 128.

All in all, they have a well-balanced lineup with the likes of Mohammad Taha, Praveen Dubey, and KB Pawan amongst the runs. Dubey has done well with the ball as well and has played an excellent second-fiddle role to the likes of Shreyas Gopal and Abhilash Shetty. They look a decent side, at least on paper, and if they perform to their potential, the Tuskers will have their work cut out.
