After losing their opening match, played against Sylhet, in a low-scoring encounter, the Chattogram Challengers made a strong comeback in their last match to register a massive win against the Khulna Tigers.
Chasing a big target of 179, the Challengers were off to a flying start as openers Usman Khan and Max ODowd put up 141 runs for the first wicket. ODowd fell in the 15th over after scoring 58 runs, but Usman Khan carried on to score a century, remaining unbeaten at 103 in just 58 deliveries.
The Challengers have a solid-looking middle order too, with the likes of Unmukt Chand, Afif Hossain, Irfan Sukur, and Shuvagata Hom. Abu Jayed and Hom were pretty economical given the context of the last match, but Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Mehedi Hasan Rana have been a bit expensive this season.
Ziaur Rahman and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth have had an average outing and will be hoping to get some wickets in this match.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz put up a stunning all-round performance, picking up 2 wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs, and scoring 43 of just 29 deliveries to lift up the chase. Shakib Al Hasan was at his economical best, while Chaturanga de Silva picked up 2 wickets to limit the Riders to a total of 158.
In the second innings, Ibrahim Zadran was in top form as he scored his first half-century of the season and stitched a partnership of 84 runs along with Mehidy Hasan Miraz for the 3rd wicket to help Barishal get its first points. With the batting in decent shape, the bowlers, especially Ebadot Hossain, Kamrul Islam, and Karim Janat will need to step up if Fortune Barishal wants to continue on a winning path.

Pitch and Conditions
This is the first match of the season that will be played in Chattogram. The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium has hosted many high-scoring and close encounters and this will likely be the same. The seamers will get good support for the first few overs but the pitch does get easy to bat on. The spinners tend to find some purchase here as the game progresses.
A total of above 180 can be difficult to chase.
The weather will be cool with temperatures ranging from 20-25 degrees Celsius. However, we are likely to see some dew, especially during the second innings.
