Both teams are unbeaten so far this season. The Magicians are sitting at the top of the points table with 12 points, while Wellington is placed second but they do have an extra match in hand.

Canterbury Women
The Magicians have had smooth sailing so far and have never really found themselves in a close situation this season.
Much of their success can be credited to the all-round performance of Amy Satterthwaite who has been excellent with both, the bat as well as the ball. Satterthwaite has scored a total of 123 runs in the 2 innings that she has batted, and has scored half-centuries in both of them.
She has also picked up 3 wickets and has an economy rate of just 4.72. Kate Anderson and Natalie Cox too have been pretty consistent at the top of the order. The bowling has been pretty tight, with Melissa Banks and Gabby Sullivan picking up 5 wickets each. Lea Tahuhu bowled an excellent spell of 3 for 17 in the last match and now has picked up a total of 4 wickets.
One weak point for the Magicians has been the performance of its middle-order batters. Izzy Sharp, Frances Wilson, and Abigale Gerken haven’t got going as of yet.

Just like the Magicians, Wellington is unbeaten this season, thanks to some excellent all-round performances by captain Amelia Kerr. Kerr has scored 73 runs in 2 innings and has also picked up a wicket in each match. She has received good support from other middle-order batters, Leigh Kasperek and Maddy Green. The top order however hasn’t been in the best of forms as Rebecca Burns and Georgia Plimmer have both been seen struggling to score.
The Blaze’s bowlers have successfully defended the target in both matches so far, thanks to some disciplined bowling by Leigh Kasperek, Jess Kerr, and Xara Jetly.
