As far as matches go in IPL 2022 go, this next contest between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans is pretty low stakes. CSK has already crashed out of the running for a playoff spot while GT has confirmed its place. In fact, the only thing that GT will have to play for is to try and ensure it finishes in the top-2 and gets two chances of making the IPL 2022 Playoffs.

CSK is going to want to forget its terrible outing in the previous match where it was bowled out for 97 in 16 overs. As a bettor, you should forget about that match as well because such poor performances are not reflective of what you can expect from the team on average.
If we see the lineup of Gaikwad, Conway, Moeen, Rayadu, Uthappa, Dhoni, and Dube, there is more than enough batting capability here to win a match against any opposition. We don't think one match is going to affect the confidence of the players.
You could choose to back Devon Conway or Moeen Ali to score above their Over/Under line in this match. The short boundaries at the Wankhede plus the fact that they are both left-handers could play in their favor.
The real challenge for CSK has been its bowling. Mukesh Choudhary has shown some promise and picked up three wickets in the previous match, however, there is no doubt that CSK has the weakest bowling lineup this season.
Simranjeet Singh, Dwayne Bravo, Maheesh Theekshana, and Moeen Ali do not really strike us as a formidable bowling unit.

GT will be relaxed after ensuring its place in the IPL 2022 playoffs and will now want to lock up its top-2 position. A win here will be enough for that purpose although GT could end up second even if it loses both its remaining matches.
Here is the thing. We think GT has a pretty average batting lineup with Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill at the top followed by a pretty shallow batting lineup. Gill has been inconsistent and we always worry about Saha as he gets deeper in the tournament.
Pandya and Miller have also just hit a rough patch off late in terms of scoring runs and teams are finding a way to keep Tewatia in check also. No team has won more matches in the last over this season than the Gujarat Titans. A bit of luck going the other way and we could be faced with a very different league table.
In our opinion, GT is at the top but it is far from the best team out there.
The bowling attack of GT is very strong. The pitches slowing up and taking turn is excellent news for Rashid Khan. He can be used much more aggressively by Pandya. Shami, Ferguson (if he plays in place of Wade), Dayal, Joseph, and Sai Kishore are all going to be tough to face, no matter what the surface plays like.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. The recent results have been in favor of the teams batting first as chasing becomes more and more difficult on pitches that are slowing up.

The pitch at the Wankhede was very bowler-friendly in the previous match played there (CSK vs MI). It was also a bit slow in the match between RR and DC. We can expect a similar surface where batting is not going to be the easiest.
We think the par score if going to be somewhere around 165 .
We are going to bet on the upset in this match and back the Chennai Super Kings. There are a couple of reasons for this. We think CSK is being undervalued by the market a bit and also that GT is not as good a team as the results suggest. This is a contest between the CSK batting and the GT bowling. We are backing CSk's batsmen to come out on top.
