We have seen plenty of excellent encounters in the Indian Premier League and the upcoming battle between the two top sides is being perceived as the ultimate battle of spin. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are set to lock horns at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai which is a surface known to extremely conducive to spin bowling. In this upcoming battle between spinners, it will be batting which is expected to make a huge difference. The match will begin on at 8 pm on Tuesday, 9th April. While Kolkata Knight Riders have the services of the man who's been hitting sixes for fun, Chennai Super Kings have a bowling unit which has strangled all batting lineups they've batted against so far. With a possible top of the table slot at stake and not to forget the two important points, this is one of the actual Clash of the Titans games of the tournament.
ed by the man having Midas touch, Chennai Super Kings are arguably one of the best-performing sides in the tournament thus far. Unlike most of the other sides, their wins have not really depended on one brilliant innings or a game-changing spell of bowling, but on the contribution from everyone.
Although Mahendra Singh Dhoni strongly criticized the surface at MA Chidambaram Stadium, the Super Kings have actually enjoyed their time here. In their recent-most encounter against Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings easily defended the total on a pitch that went increasingly slow with every passing minute of the match.
The absence of Dwayne Bravo was not felt as much considering the way the new Kiwi fast-bowler bowled in the death overs. Imran Tahir was once again splendid and along with the veteran spinner, Harbhajan Singh, he spun a web which Kings XI Punjab could not really escape from.
Although their bowlers were the chief architects of their last win, it was set up by enterprising innings - first from Faf du Plessis and then from their skipper. Du Plessis departed after providing CSK with a quick yet settled start, but he perished along with Suresh Raina on back to back deliveries. MSD then took charge of the situation and did what he does best to take them to a respectable total.

A lot unlike Chennai Super Kings, in fact exactly the opposite, the Kolkata Knight Riders have been all about one man - Andre Russell. However, it was only in their last match where Andre Russell didn't have much of a role to play as their bowlers and batsmen took them across the line.
Chris Lynn has now played two back to back knocks of supreme authority, albeit a little pedestrian by his standards, but KKR will take it considering the fire-power they have in the middle order. Also, Chris Lynn himself is no mug with the bat and can strike the ball a long way when the situation demands it. Having said that, the rest of KKR batting lineup has looked off-colors barring Nitish Rana and up to some extent Robin Uthappa which will definitely be a cause of concern for the skipper as well as the management.
If there's any side that will relish playing at Chennai apart from CSK, it is Kolkata Knight Riders. That has a lot to do with the experienced battery of spinners at their disposal. The likes of Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla, and Kuldeep Yadav have all proved their worth at the highest level of the game and will be licking their fingers in anticipation of a friendly surface in the next game. Harry Gurney proved to be an excellent addition in their lineup in the last match and along with Prasidh Krishna, he forms an equally good pace attack for KKR.
All in all, Kolkata Knight Riders are an extremely good side, at least on paper, and they have results to speak for it. Although they have struggled with the consistency at the top, Andre Russell's consistency has ensured two important points whenever their batting has failed.

There have only been a few matches in the tournament where we have been spoilt for choices. There are so many good and in-form batsmen in both the sides that it was hard to drop a certain player. We have decided to drop Robin Uthappa from our Dream11 lineup considering the expected slow nature of the surface.
It was hard to pick between the wicket-keepers and although both the options between MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik, we have decided to go with Dinesh Karthik for the sake of balance.
On a surface highly conducive to spin-bowling, picking up spinners can never go wrong. We have included Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir, and Ravindra Jadeja in spinners cum all-rounder department and Andre Russell and Prasidh Krishna will be the key players to handle place department of our team.

Arguably, there are only two sides in the competition that are tailor-made to play at Chepauk's surface and they both are going to face each other off in this upcoming encounter. Sunil Narine has historically been severe on spinners, in particular, and it will be interesting to see how MS Dhoni rotates his bowler to handle him and in-form Russell. Considering the fact that Chennai will be better acquainted and, therefore, equipped to play on this surface, we think they will edge past KKR in this highly-anticipated encounter.
