The Dubai International Stadium has been a better-batting venue than we would have expected. The average T20 score batting first is just 160 but that has been at least 15-20 runs under-par in IPL 2020. This is the venue where the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore are going to be playing against each other.
Chennai and Bangalore (Bengaluru now) are the two power centers of the South. There is always a little bit of needle when these two well-supported teams take on each other. Traditionally, CSK has dominated this rivalry with 15 wins out of 23 matches but this season’s CSK is a pale imitation of what we remember.
Can RCB recover from its defeat against DC in the previous match and get another win to its name?
CSK vs RCB IPL 2020 is going to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on the 10th of October 2020.
We know all the cricket fans love to see their favorite stars Kohli and Dhoni on the pitch together. And we like them so much that we would love to see them both score high runs.
Betway is offering a special market, where you win the bet if both Dhoni and Kohli score over 20 runs in the match. We have boosted odds of 4.00 for this market. So go ahead and place your bet on this market!
CSK had the game in its hands against KKR in its previous outing. After a brilliant performance from its bowlers, the top-3 batsmen had given CSK a terrific start. Just when it seemed that the match was beyond the reach of KKR, a flurry of wickets and a complete inability to strike the ball took down CSK.
We know Dhoni hates making unnecessary changes to his team and so Kedar Jadhav could get another shot. In actuality, however, he has been underperforming for quite some time now and is past his best.
Dhoni himself did not score many runs but showed intent from the first ball. That is what we like to see from a great man and that promises some good things to come. With Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, and Ambati Rayadu in form, CSK has a strong top-3.
It needs to sort out its middle-order, which could mean maybe promoting Jadeja above Jadhav in the future or maybe bringing in someone like N Jagadeesan from the bench.
Shardul Thakur has enjoyed an excellent couple of matches in IPL 2020. Effective at the death with his change-ups, he is allowing Dhoni to use Deepak Chahar and Sam Curran at the top without worrying. Karn Sharma bowled well, as did Dwayne Bravo to give CSK a decent bowling attack. Ravindra Jadeja did not get a single over, a bit surprising, but that could change against RCB.

RCB has won three matches out of its five so far, a good start but not nearly as positive as Virat Kohli was making it out to be after the loss to DC. We think the team has been lucky to be on the winning side in at least two of those matches.
Now, against CSK, Virat and his men will need to be smart.
We are not convinced about Devdutt Padikkal at the top of the order. He seems a bit susceptible to spin and to the fast, short delivery as well. CSK could target him with a few overs from Jadeja or Karan in the powerplay.
Aaron Finch is too inconsistent to be a factor on most days, which leaves Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers carrying the load of the batting. Chris Morris should make an entry into the team, as per what Virat said, and so the lower-order could be a bit vulnerable.
Morris is playing his first match and could take a little time to get used to the conditions. Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube, and Isuru Udana are not a fearsome lower-order at all.
Another place where we can see RCB struggle a bit is in the bowling. Its strategy of bowling spin for almost half of the overs in recent matches could come unstuck against Watson and de Plessis. Chahal and Sundar are going to be under tremendous pressure to get their lines absolutely right.
It may appear so but we don’t really think RCB has that much of an advantage over CSK in any aspect of the game.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. That has been the success mantra at Dubai in IPL 2020 so far and we are sure the teams are going to want to take full advantage.

The conditions in Dubai have been pretty good for batting. The batsmen continue to enjoy their time and we have seen two scores of 190 plus being scored in the most recent two matches. The one before that was one where CSK chased down 175 without losing a wicket and without breaking a sweat.
The batsmen should be able to continue to dominate and any team that fails to maximize its overs is going to struggle to defend here.
A score of around 180 seems to be par for the surface.

We are going to go with CSK in this match. There are some positive shoots visible in CSK’s cricket and we would like to think they are going to improve further in this match. The batting form of its top-order as well as the performance of its bowlers should give CSK a good chance to win.
Bet on the Chennai Super Kings to win.
We will take this bet any day. Padikkal and Finch do not seem at all stable to us while the form of Watson and du Plessis is fantastic coming into this game. Anything can happen, that is true, but we really think getting odds of close to 2x is just insane for this bet. Take advantage.
This is our favorite bet for the match. 3x returns for this is a steal in our opinion. Faf du Plessis has been timing the ball sweetly and is in terrific touch. Dhoni, on the other hand, is batting at four and played with intent in the previous match. He is going to come out and give it a whack, wherever he bats. In our opinion, this is a bet where you maximize your profits.
Continuing in the vein of our CSK bent for this match, we think Rayadu has been playing well and at number three has a very good chance of getting past 20. The fact that the CSK batting has struggled in the middle puts more responsibility on him and will make him bat even more responsibly.
