The Tshwane Spartans continued their unbeaten run in the Mzansi Super League 2019 and have now moved to the top of the MSL league standings. We are actually a fair bit through MSL 2019 but there are still some teams that have not played against each other, like the ones we are going to be seeing in this match.
Tshwane Spartans are going to be playing against Cape Town Blitz in a contest that is perhaps a lot more important to the latter side. Cape Town Blitz has suffered a loss of form and has lost its previous three matches in a row. It has also slipped out of the qualification zone and needs to turn things around quickly.
The Spartans could go a long way towards cementing their place in the playoffs if they win this match and so there is no lack of motivation on that side either.
Cape Town Bitz vs Tshwane Spartans MSL T20 is going to be played at Newlands, Cape Town on the 1st of December 2019.
Cape Town Blitz would have struggled to pinpoint the exact reason why they lost their previous match against Durban Heat. They batted well and put up a total of 181, an above-par score. They even took two wickets in the second over and had Durban Heat on the mat.
Dane Vilas then played one of the best innings we have seen in MSL 2019 and took the game away from them.
There is not too much wrong with the Cape Town Blitz side but it has been under-performing for quite some time now. We have been waiting for a big inning from Quinton de Kock but he has not delivered as yet and that is adding the pressure on the other batters.
Janneman Malan is in good form as is Liam Livingstone. All three of these players are capable of scoring a big one at a rapid rate and that is exactly what Cape Town Blitz must hope for. Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, and David Bedingham are some of the other useful batters in the side.
Dale Steyn has been bowling brilliantly and was once again the pick of the bowlers in the previous match. He and Mohammad Nawaz appear to be the most effective bowlers in the Cape Town squad right now and will be the ones that the team looks towards to make the important breakthroughs.
Janneman Malan, Quinton de Kock, David Bedingham, Liam Livingstone, VD Philander, Aviwe Mgijima, Mohammad Nawaz, Wahab Riaz, SSB Magala, DW Steyn, Anrich Nortje.
On a pitch where everyone struggled, AB de Villiers showed just how big a loss he is to international cricket. AB de Villiers scored 69 off 37 deliveries and made a mockery of the target his team was after. Take into account that Dean Elgar scored 12 off 26 deliveries and that there was virtually no one to follow in the batting.
The Tshwane Spartans are at the top of the heap right now but we remain unconvinced about their batting. AB de Villiers and Heinrich Klassen are in good form but with Roelof van der Merwe at number 5, you are not leaving much room for error.
A batting collapse for the Tshwane Spartans is imminent. Roelof van der Merwe and Petrus van Biljon are good players but they are not the kinds of players that are going to win the match on their own steam too often.
Roelof van der Merwe was the pick of the bowlers in the previous match as he took three wickets on a wicket helpful for the spinners. Tom Curran and Morne Morkel are also bowling very well giving the Tshwane Spartans a very strong bowling attack to work with.
Lutho Sipamla and Lungi Ngidi have also been quite consistent in MSL 2019 which means that there are no easy overs for the opponents to target.
Dean Elgar, Theunis de Bruyn, AB de Villiers, Heinrich Klaasen, RE Van Der Merwe, PJ van Biljon, Wiaan Mulder, Tom Curran, Morne Morkel, Lungi Ngidi, Lutho Sipamla.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

The weather in Cape Town for this match is expected to be excellent. There is no chance of rain predicted and so we should have a full game to witness. The pitch in Cape Town has been one of the better ones for batting so far.
There are a lot of runs in the surface for the batsmen but not much for the bowlers to work with.
The Tshwane Spartans are the team in form and with AB de Villiers also in the runs, it is easy to see why they would be the bookmakers favorite. We cannot help shake the doubts about the Spartans, though. AB de Villiers is human and when he fails, there is nothing to fall back upon.
Cape Town Blitz is due some luck and success on its side as well. Playing at home might just be the thing it needs right now.
Bet on Cape Town Blitz to win.
