Comilla Victorians

The Comilla Victorians are one of the best-balanced teams we have seen this season. The presence of Thisara Perera and Shahid Afridi in the middle gives them a lot of fluidity. This is not something that is unique to them in this match, though, as the Dhaka Dynamites are loaded with all-round match winners as well.

Getting runs at the top of the inning has been crucial in the Bangladesh Premier League knockouts and this is why the role of Tamim Iqbal is going to be so important. There is no batsman who has done more for Bangladesh cricket than Tamim Iqbal. He is one of the senior most leaders of Bangladesh cricket and puts a lot of importance to performing well in the Bangladesh Premier League.

We have found him to be a bit overzealous to attack this season and hope that he will temper himself. Tamim will be opening the batting with Evin Lewis in the side who helped Comilla Victorians chase down a tricky total with ease in Qualifier 1.

Evin Lewis is one of the cleanest hitters of the cricket ball and we have been very impressed at the manner in which he has adapted to the Bangladeshi surfaces. Anamul Haque and SHamsur Rahman have been very good for the Comilla Victorians as well. Both players have shown an ability to clear the boundaries and to play fearless cricket under pressure.

With Imrul Kayes, Thisara Perera, and Shahid Afridi in the lineup as well, the Comilla Victorians have a batting lineup as strong as that of the Dhaka Dynamites.

The bowling lineup for the Comilla Victorians will need to be at its best when it comes to the final of the BPL. They are going to be facing some ferocious hitters of the ball and cannot afford any mistakes. Shahid Afridi is our pick to lead from the front in this match with Wahab Riaz performing well also.

Dhaka Dynamites

The Dhaka Dynamites always seem to find a way to end up playing for the title in the Bangladesh Premier League. They are the most successful side in the history of the tournament and are going to be very hard to stop.

Like the Comilla Victorians, the Dhaka Dynamites are a well-balanced side. They have Shakib Al Hasan, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, and Sunil Narine as all-rounders to provide them exceptional stability and flexibility.

With four world-class players in both the batting and bowling department to start with and an additional seven to help fill in the gaps, the Dhaka Dynamites are very difficult to stop. The addition of Upul Tharanga at the top of the order is pretty good in our opinion too.

He scored a valuable fifty in the Eliminator and will be one of the biggest wickets in the BPL 2019 Final as well. The Dhaka Dynamites batting is not fool-proof, though. They can sometimes collapse in a heap and were in a spot of bother in the last match as well.

That is when Andre Russell came out and bludgeoned five sixes in the space of three overs to end the contest.

One of the things that we think the Dhaka Dynamites have to worry about it being too conservative. They must not try to hoard their resources and keep delaying their power hitters from entering the scene. This has been something that Shakib AL Hasan has done as a captain and it could backfire.

Chasing is something that the Dhaka Dynamites would be much more comfortable doing.
