Northern Warriors finally managed to salvage their first win of the tournament, rendering the race to the playoffs wide open once again. Apart from Chennai Braves, all five teams have tasted success in the tournament up until now and will be raring to build onto those. Team Abu Dhabi scored another win in the tournament and are almost certain of a playoff berth in this competition.
Up next in the tournament, Delhi Bulls are all set to take on Northern Warriors in what is going to be an important contest for both these sides. The match between the two sides is to be played at Sheikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium on November 26th 2021. Given the form these two sides have been in and the importance of this upcoming match, a cracker of a contest is certainly on the cards.
Just a couple of days ago, Delhi Bulls looked to occupy one of the top two slots on the points table, but with their narrow loss at the hands of Team Abu Dhabi, they may find that difficult to achieve now. Having said that, a couple of big wins hereon will certainly bring their campaign back on track and that is exactly what they will be aiming for.
Exactly opposite to Northern Warriors, Delhi Bulls started their campaign with a string of back to back wins but a couple of recent losses has certainly set them back hard. Although their losses have been narrow and they would not be worried yet, they will be desperate to get back to winning ways.
As it currently stands, Delhi Bulls are placed at the third spot on the points table with six points and a net run rate of 0.186. In their recent matches, Delhi Bulls have struggled to score well and that has been one of the primary reasons for their back to back losses of late. Their management and leadership will be cognizant of this and we expect them to be a lot more aggressive in the upcoming match.
On paper, Delhi Bulls have a rollicking batting unit with players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rilee Rossouw, and Luke Wright available at the top. Also, they have the likes of Eoin Morgan and Romario Shepherd, who both can be mighty effective when its their day. It is with the ball that their strength lies. The likes of Dwayne Bravo, Ravi Rampaul, and Fazalhaq Farooqi have been brilliant in the tournament up until now and almost pulled off a miraculous defence against Team Abu Dhabi in their previous match.
Delhi Bulls may be down on form but they certainly have one solid team on paper. They almost bounced back to winning ways against Team Abu Dhabi only to be left disappointed at the end. We expect them to come harder in the upcoming match and if they are able to play to their potential, Northern Warriors will have their work cut out.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Luke Wright, Eoin Morgan, Sherfane Rutherford, Mohammad Hafeez, Dwayne Bravo, Shiraz Ahmed, Romario Shepherd, Dominic Drakes, AU Rashid, Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Languishing near the bottom half of the points table, the significance of this match for the Warriors is massive. A win here will put their campaign back on the track, which is certainly a big thing considering that they lost all of their first four matches. A loss, however, will push them back into a spot of bother and they will need to win almost all of their remaining matches.
Their recent win over Chennai Braves not only pushed them to the fifth spot but also helped their net run rate. As it currently stands, Northern Warriors have two points to their name with a terrible net run rate of -1.496, which could have been even worse.
Their win over Chennai Braves came in as a welcome change to their form, especially after they racked four back to back losses. It was their batting that worked wonders with Kennar Lewis and Moeen Ali smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground. The opening pair of Moeen and Lewis scored 106 runs in total before the former was dismissed. The Warriors did slow down a bit after their openers were dismissed, but Rovman Powell and Samit Patel pulled the side to a terrific score of 152.
Chasing this total was never going to be a cakewalk for the Braves and the Warriors' bowlers ensured just that. Defending the total, their bowlers bowled in tight channels right from the word go and even though they were taken away for runs, they also kept picking up wickets at regular intervals. Eventually, the Warriors won the match by 19 runs.
The Warriors needed this push of a massive win and now that they have tasted success, they can be a dangerous team. Moeen Ali is an important player for them and he will need to play a big role for his side to do well in this upcoming match. If that happens and the other players step up, beating Northern Knights would be a challenge.
K Lewis, Rovman Powell, Ross Whiteley, Moeen Ali, SR Patel, Umair Ali, Imran Tahir, Oshane Thomas, Joshua Little, RR Emrit, Abhimanyu Mithun.

With the business end of the tournament nearing us with every passing match, the importance of two points is massive. These two sides are coming off contrasting results in their last respective matches and should make up for a fantastic contest. Northern Warriors scored a terrific win over Chennai Braves and should be brimming with confidence. However, Delhi Bulls are an overall better side between the two, and are, therefore, our pick as favorites for the upcoming match.
