Just as was the case in the last season, Delhi Bulls failed to do anything of substance this time around and apart from looking forward to the next season, they do not have a lot left to play for in this edition of the tournament. A win here might well push them to the fifth spot but that would not be enough to take them through to the next round.

As it currently stands on the points table, Delhi Bulls are languishing at the bottom of the points table having won just one out of a total of six games. They have a total of three points to their name with a terrible net run-rate of -1.022. The primary reason for their poor performance is the lack of firepower in their batting order. They would need to come out all guns blazing with whatever strength they have and if they can do that, getting past them is going to be a rather tricky job.

Chennai Braves

Chennai Braves may have done a slightly better job than Delhi Bulls but they too are already out of contention as far as a place in the playoffs is concerned. A win here will take them to six points in total but that too would not be enough. They are coming off a loss at the hands of Team Abu Dhabi in their most recent match and might be a little low on confidence. 

As it currently stands on the points table, they are placed at the sixth spot with four points to their name. Their net run-rate of -0.825 shows how poor they have been in the tournament so far. Although they have a well-balanced side on paper, they have lacked contributions from their complete unit. They would need their non-performing players to come good and if that happens, getting past them could prove to be a challenging task.
