This is technically the third match for Durban Heat in the Mzansi Super League 2019. The team is decently placed in the MSL 2019 league table with four points from two games. The only problem is that they have not yet played a single ball in the Mzansi Super League this year!
The rain has continued to plague the MSL and some more is predicted for this match as well. Thankfully, it looks like that the timing of the match is such that we may actually get some cricket to watch.
Cape Town Blitz is the other team in this contest. It comes to this match with two wins under its belt and a side that seems very strong on paper. A misstep against the Paarl Rocks showed the weaknesses of Cape Town Blitz and that is something that the team would want to prevent from happening again.
Durban Heat vs Cape Town Blitz MSL T20 is going to be played at Kingsmead, Durban on the 17th of November 2019.
We know nothing more about Durban Heat and its players now than we did at the start of MSL 2019. The players have been copped up in the dressing rooms waiting for the rain to stop. As things stand, we think that the Durban Heat batting is going to be its stronger suit this season.
The names that jump out at us from the sheet include David Miller, Alex Hales, and Dane Vilas.
A very smart choice for skipper, Dane Vilas has been one of the most improved players on the T20 circuit in recent times. He was very good in the Vitality T20 Bast earlier this season and led from the front with the bat. His captaincy is also quite astute and he is known for making the most of the resources at his disposal.
The pressure is going to be on Alex Hales and David Miller with the T20 World Cup coming up. Both these players have regressed a bit in recent times and seem to be struggling to find their best form. Ravi Bopara, Andile Phehlukwayo, Wihan Lubbe, and Sarel Erwee give Durban Heat plenty of good all-round options that should help provide the side a lot of balance.
The bowling for Durban heat looks a bit thin and we think they could struggle against the strong Cape Town Blitz batting. Keshav Maharaj and Kyle Abbott are the only two good regular bowers with the all-rounders making up the rest of the overs.
That can be a bit tricky on a good batting surface although Durban should provide something for the bowlers to work with.
AD Hales, Sarel Erwee, Wihan Lubbe, DJ Vilas, David Miller, RS Bopara, Andile Phehlukwayo, K Maharaj, P Subrayen, KY Abbott, MP Siboto.
Losing Moeen Ali did not have as much of an impact as we had expected it to for Cape Town Blitz. Luckily for them, Liam Livingstone stepped up big time and Wahab Riaz contributed with the bat and ball.
It was a stunning performance from Cape Town Blitz that outdid the Jozi Stars in every aspect of the game.
Quinton de Kock is striking the ball beautifully and it is just a matter of time before he gets into the flow of things. A big score seems to be around the corner for him.
Janneman Malan is in good form and now Liam Livingstone has struck a fabulous inning as well.
We are not too sure about having Marques Ackerman at three or Asif Ali at five but maybe Cape Town Blitz does not have too many options at its disposal right now. Having Wahab Riaz bat at number seven is not a good sign for the depth of this batting lineup.
Maybe that is why George Linde has been pushed down to number six to help rescue things if some early wickets are lost.
It was the bowling which was the real star in the previous match though. Wahab Riaz and Anrich Nortje bowled with fire, Dale Steyn was threatening, and Sisandna Magala was smart enough to take the opportunities that came his way.
Mohammad Nawaz has also joined the squad for the Blitz and could be brought in as a spin bowling all-rounder as well. If the top-order can continue to fire for Cape Town Blitz then they are going to be tough to beat.
Janneman Malan, Quinton de Kock, Marques Ackerman, Liam Livingstone, Asif Ali, George Linde, Wahab Riaz, SSB Magala, Gregory Mahlokwana, DW Steyn, Anrich Nortje.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

The match is going to be played in Kingsmead, Durban where the rain just does not seem to want to stop. Thankfully, the current forecast says that we should be able to get a full match in although there is some rain predicted once the match gets over.
The pitch at Durban always has something in it for the fast-bowlers. There is a good amount of bounce in the wicket which works in favor of the batsman and so a good contest between bat and ball can be expected.
Dream11team and Dream11 prediction for Durban Heat vs Cape Town Blitz is going to try and pick as many big-hitting batsmen as possible since there is a surplus of those in this match. The all-rounders are also very good value and could be decisive to the final Dream11 standing.

We think that Cape Town Blitz is the clear favorite going into this match. It has the better bowling attack and its top-order batsmen are firing as well. They are the side to back in this contest.
