We are just a couple of days away from the playoffs in Abu Dhabi T10 and the top four position still look far from settled. All eight teams are still pretty much in contention for the playoffs and thing should clear out a bit in the upcoming fixtures. Delhi Bulls are languishing at the bottom of the table and another loss would mean curtains for them. They are set to take on Qalandars in their next game, which is to be played on 22nd Novemeber at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
After registering a terrific win in the first match, Delhi Bulls have failed to put up a similar performance. They have lost four matches on the trot and are staring at an early exit from the tournament. The Bulls are currently placed at the bottom of the ladder with three points to their name in five matches. Their poor net run-rate of 1.19 of doesn't help their cause either.
In their most recent encounter, which was against Maratha Arabians, their bowlers were hammered all-around the park in the first innings and the batsmen were left to do much at the end. Chris Lynn wreaked havoc on the Bulls as he smashed 89 off 33 deliveries before being dismissed by Ali Khan in the second-last over of the innings. Barring Ali Kha, who picked up two wickets for 15 in his two overs, all the bowlers were carted away with an economy rate of at least 13.50.
Chasing 147 against the Arabians was next to impossible task and hence it proved. Although the Bulls' batmsen scored quickly with Kusal Perera and Sherfane Rutherford combining for a wonderful 56-run partnership, the Arabians' total was too steep to climb. The Bulls eventually finished at 116 for 3, losing the match by 31 runs.

After striving long and hard for three matches, Qalandars finally scored their second win of the tournament and brought themselves back into the race for the playoffs. To back their pretty good net run-rate, they have five points to their name and another win here should put them in prime position to finish amongst the top-four sides.
Against Karnataka Tuskers, the Qalandars got off to a slow start and lost a key wicket in Dawid Malan but Tom Banton single-handledly kept them afloat. Banton was dismissed after hitting a personal score of 80, which came in just 28 deliveries.
The Qalandars went about their business of defending the total in a super manner. After Lahiru Kumara was taken apart by Evin Lewis in the first over, Mujeeb Ur Rahman provided them with a break-through, sending Lewis back. Sultan Ahmed and S Prasanna picked up three more wickets in the next four overs, leaving Tuskers in all sorts of troubles. The Tuskers were eventually restricted to a total of just 97.
PD Trego, Dawid Malan, Philip Salt, Laurie Evans, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Jordan Clark, S Prasanna, Sultan Ahmed, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Lahiru Kumara, George Garton.
The Qalandars haven't really performed up to their potential in the tournament yet. Their wins have more or less been possible due to individual brilliances, as we saw in the last match as well. Delhi Bulls, on the other hand, have failed to put in even half-decent performances. Even though their batting has done well, their bowling has been listless, to say the least. Comparing the two sides on the basis of performance in the tournament so far and on paper, the Qalandars are firm favorties to emerge on top in the upcoming encounter.
