Delhi Daredevils lost their last match against MI by 5 wickets after posting a competitive total of 152 on the board, riding largely on Yuvraj Singh’s half-century and JP Duminy who scored 28 off 19. On the bowling front, Coulter-Nile picked up 2 wickets, but bowlers did not restrict MI from reaching the target.Daredevils also lost their previous encounter against Royals by 14 runs after JP Duminy played a lone hand and essayed a fine fifty. Yuvaraj Singh and Saurabh Tiwary landed a few cruching blows but in the end, it wasn’t enough to overhaul the target. Overall, skipper JP Duminy and young opener Shreyas Iyer have done the bulk of the scoring, Mayank Agarwal has fired in fits and starts, and Yuvraj Singh and Angelo Mathews' meagre contributions have left them longing for a late surge like other sides have managed this season. On the bowling front, the return of Zaheer Khan has given a bit of experience to their bowling attack and he was well supported by Nathan Coulter-Nile, Angelo Mathews and Imran Tahir. Overall, they have the ability to fight back and move forward in the tournament.
It will be a tough encounter between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils to secure berths in the play-offs. While KKR has gained confidence after two consecutive wins, DD are quite under pressure and will ave to come out all guns to win the upcoming match. Although the result could swing either side; we feel that Delhi Daredevils will emerge victorious in this game; additionally Delhi Daredevils has the more advantageous risk-reward ratio which tempts me to place my money on them.
