They have exhibited their talent and good strategy-making skills, which have catapulted them to the 2nd spot; Supergiants will not be taken lightly by this pack of youngsters, who will go all out to win.
Rising Pune Supergiants
They are going through a challenging time, failing to convert the last two games into victories; while the bowlers let them down in the match against Gujarat Lions, being unable to defend a challenging 195 runs, against Mumbai Indians the batsmen couldn’t go past 159, which became a little difficult to defend in the end. Saurabh Tiwary, Rahane and Smith have been doing well for the team but now with Smith’s injury, they will need to turn to others for support.
Dinda and Ravichandran Ashwin were the lone wicket-takers against Mumbai but they too gave away easy runs; Smith’s brilliant 101 off just 54 went in vain against Lions as Morkel, Dinda and Perera were hit all across the park and the opposition snatched away victory in the end. Although Dinda and Perera took 2 wickets each and Bhatia contributed with one dismissal, Supergiants lost the game by 3 wickets in a nail-biting finish.
They do have the resources but injury issues and some weaknesses in the bowling department will have to be overcome.
Delhi has proven to be a formidable team to reckon with in their recent encounters and looking at Supergiants’ overall performance we feel that the hosts, Delhi Daredevils, are better placed to continue winning here
