We are down to the last day of the Abu Dhabi T10 League and the playoff spots are more or less settled. Three teams are already knocked out of the competition and have no chances to qualify for the next round. Deccan Gladiators and Maratha Arabians are two of those three teams and will take on each other in the upcoming match, which is to be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, on 4th February 2021.
Deccan Gladiators have had a tough time in the competition and that is reflected by the position they are at on the ladder. In the five matches that they have played, they have managed just one win and consequently have two points with a poor net run-rate of -1.322.
Given the team the Gladiators have on paper, it must be said that they have largely underperformed thus far. Even though their batting lineup looks a tad too over-reliant on Kieron Pollard, the Gladiators are one of the better-balanced sides in this competition. They have a terrific bowling unit that has so far been tough to score off. Their batsmen, however, have blown hot and cold. They'd want their batsmen to fire in this match and if that happens, the Gladiators will be in business.

Maratha Arabians suffered yet another defeat and this time they were humiliated by Team Abu Dhabi. Thanks to Chris Gayle's blitz, TAD rampaged through to the target in less than 5 overs. As it stands, the Arabians are at the bottom of the points table and will need a win here to avoid the wooden spoon. Given the way they have done so far, it seems to be a difficult task, but the Arabians are certainly capable of doing that.
On paper, the Arabians have a good side that oozes experience but lacks someone who can hit the ground running. Most of their batsmen take a couple of deliveries to get going and that is something that has hurt them in this competition. Shoaib Malik and Mohd. Hafeez have been in fine touch and will be tough to dislodge. If they can score quickly enough against a fragile Gladiators' side, the Arabians will be in with a chance.

Going by the performance, it is difficult to find a lot of difference between the two sides. Considering what we have seen in the tournament so far, Deccan Gladiators have looked a better side between the two and are, therefore, our pick to emerge on top in this upcoming match.
