The showdown between the Deccan Gladiators and the Northern Warriors in the T10 League promises to be an exciting one. Both of the teams have proven themselves to be among the stronger ones this season and are in pretty decent form.
The Deccan Gladiators have not lost a single game since their opening match in the T10 League while the Northern Warriors have been more inconsistent with just one win in their last four matches. There was some rain in Abu Dhabi that prevented a couple of matches being completed but that seems to be an anomaly. The forecast for this match and the entire following week is for plenty of sunshine and no rain, as is standard for the desert.
Deccan Gladiators vs Northern Warriors T10 League 2019 is going to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on the 21st of November 2019.
The Deccan Gladiators were denied the chance to push for a victory in their previous match against Team Abu Dhabi from a strong position. They had allowed Abu Dhabi to score 118, a score just above-par, and were then off to a flying start thanks to Mohammad Shahzad.
Looking ahead to this match, the form of Mohammad Shahzad at the top of the order is a big plus. Shane Watson, Kieron Pollard, Anton Devcich, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Ben Cutting have all contributed with the bat in this edition of the T10 League already.
There is an immense amount of power in this lineup and no score is safe when the Gladiators are chasing.
Kieron Pollard is one of the key players in this lineup and we rate him right next to Andre Russel in the six-hitting ability. There has to be a bit of inter-Caribbean rivalry going on between these two as they take the field for opposing teams in this match.
It may not be a bad idea to promote Rajapaksa up the order either in place of Devcich and see if he can continue his six-hitting exploits for a longer duration.
Fawad Ahmed has been spectacular in the T10 League so far and bowled his two overs for just seven runs in the previous match while picking up two wickets. These are magical figures in this format, especially for a wrist-spinner.
Sheldon Cottrell, Kieron Pollard, Mason Crane, Ben Cutting, and Zahoor Khan are the other bowlers that played the previous match. Overall, this is not a formidable bowling attack but not a weak one either.
M Shahzad, SR Watson, Anton Devcich, Kieron Pollard, Dan Lawrence, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Ben Cutting, Fawad Ahmed, Mason Crane, Zahir Khan, Zahoor Khan.
A failure to chase down 102 in the previous match brings to light the batting inconsistency that has plagued the Northern Warriors this season. They continue to rely too heavily on Andre Russell, who has done well but cannot be expected to perform miracles every single time.
Senior West Indian international players like Lendl Simmons and Nicholas Pooran have been throwing away starts too often for our liking. Sam Billings is another player that has really struggled to come to terms with the conditions in Abu Dhabi and has yet to make any meaningful contribution this season.
With Asela Gunaratne, Darren Sammy, and Chris Green in the side, there is some batting depth to fall back upon but the heavy lifting has to be done by the top-order.
It is also a loss for the Northern Warriors that Andre Russell is not bowling anymore. The fact that his struggling to bowl two overs every match shows just how fragile his fitness has been. Chris Green has been very good with the new ball and Rayad Emrit has been impressive as well.
With Nuwan Pradeep, Chris Wood, and Junaid Siddique rounding out the bowling attack, the NBorthern Warriors do not have the strongest bowling attack either.

The pitch at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium has been very good for batting. It started off being slow and has remained pretty much unchanged since. We could see a slight change in the pace as the matches pile up but overall the conditions are not going to change much.
The weather is expected to get back to normal and be bone-dry for the foreseeable future.
Dream11 Team and Dream 11 Prediction for Deccan Gladiators vs Northern Warriors. Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell are going to be the obvious choices for captain and vice-captain for this match but we are sticking with the same. The risk of not having them in your team is too much! We have loaded our side with the maximum batting firepower possible and taken some risks with the bowling.
Betting against Andre Russell is always difficult because he is just that sort of player. The same can be said about Kieron Pollard too considering his recent batting form. We think these two cancel one other out and the rest of the team has to be assessed objectively.
This is where we like the pedigree that Lendl Simmons and Nicholas Pooran bring to the table at the top-order. Both teams have a bowling attack which can go for plenty of runs as well.
We think it could be a close match but one that the Northern Warriors edge out ultimately.
Bet on the Northern Warriors to win.
