They'll be up against Karaikudi Kaalai in their next fixture which is to be played on Monday, 29th July at Tirunelveli. Karaikudi Kaalai started their campaign in a terrific manner, by registering a win over Ruby Trichy Warriors in the super over, but haven't been able to do anything of substance since then. While the Dragons are in the driving seat as far as qualification scenarios go, Karaikudi Kaalai will have do extremely well from here to book a spot in the play-off. They are certainly capable to do it, and we expect them to put up an intense fight against the Dragons and consequently a cracker of a game.

Dindigul Dragons
Since the beginning of this tournament, Ravi Ashwin led Dindigul Dragons have appeared to be playing on a different planet altogether in the tournament so far. They have won all their three matches and their superb net run-rate of +1.333 speaks volumes about that. Another victory here should be enough to seal them a playoff spot which is what they'll be eyeing in their upcoming match.
In their last match, against TUTI Patriots, Dindigul Dragons cruised to a massive 40-run win riding on half-centuries from Ravi Ashwin and N Jagadeesan. Batting first, the Dragons scored a total of 173 runs, which was a lot considering the nature of the surface.
It wasn't going to be a straight-forward chase for the Patriots and the accuracy and the discipline by the Dragons made it even more difficult. Ramalingam Rohit, Trilok Nag, Jagannathan Kaushik and Ravichandran Ashwin bowled beautifully in the middle overs and picked up wickets at regular intervals.
The decision to push himself at number three has been inspirational from the skipper and it has yielded supreme rewards for the Dragons. He has been brilliant as a captain and as an individual player for them and his performance is going to be key once again. All in all, the Dragons are one of the better sides in the tournament and will be tough to beat not just in the upcoming fixture, but also in the tournament ahead.

Karaikudi Kaalai
Karaikudi Kaalai are currently placed at the second spot from the bottom and have failed to replicate their excellent performance which they produced in the first match of the series. As if having only a couple of points was not worrisome for their management, an extremely low net run-rate of -2.733 means that they'd have to extremely well to qualify from here.
They are desperately looking for a win in their next game and will need support from their experienced players. In their last match, Chepauk Super Gillies decimated them with a 54-run defeat which made a big dent on their net run-rate as well.
So far in the competition, they've been heavily reliant on Srikkanth Aniruddha and Sunil Sam with the bat and ball respectively and although they both have delivered consistently, the lack of support from other players has hurt their chances. They've exhibited vulnerabilities all through their lineup and would need to fix those to stand a chance against high-flying Dindigul Dragons.

The absence of Dinesh Karthik clearly hurt Karaikudi Kaalai in the previous few matches. Now that he has returned, the fans can hope for a better show for them, and with Srikkanth Anirudha already in fine form, they are undoubtedly capable of giving the Dragons a tough fight. Dindigul Dragons, on the other hand, have done almost everything right and are, therefore, the team to beat in the tournament. Comparing the two sides on paper and the performance in the tournament thus far, Dindigul Dragons stand far ahead of Karaikudi Kalaai and are firm favorites to emerge on top in the upcoming fixture.
