Bradley Porteous and Jason Smith have by far been the best batsmen for the Dolphins this season. Porteous has scored 242 runs so far, while Smith is close behind with 210 runs. However, the top order has been a big letdown for the team throughout the entire season. JJ Smuts, Ruan de Swardt, and Grant Roelofsen have all got some good starts but have failed to build upon them.

The Lions are the defending champions for this season. Their form from the previous season has spilled over into this season too and they have been the best-performing team in the competition so far. The Lions won each of their 5 opening games and were the first ones to reach the Finals.
They did however falter in the last game against the Warriors, where they faced their first defeat of the season. Opting to bowl first, the Lions’ bowling line-up was caught in a blizzard of runs thanks to a stunning onslaught by Tristan Stubbs and Diego Rosier.
Chasing a mammoth target of 349, the Lions lost 3 wickets for just 56 runs. Reeza Hendricks and Wiaan Mulder then put up a gritty stand of 195 runs for the 4th wicket, but the lower order surrendered quite meekly and the Lions lost the match by 50 runs. Batting however has been one of the biggest strengths for the Lions this season.
Ryan Rickelton, who has scored 377 runs so far, is the leading scorer for the tournament. He has received good support from Reeza Hendricks as well as Dominic Hendricks, while Mitchell van Buuren and Wiaan Mulder have performed well in patches. Sisanda Magala has picked up 14 wickets so far and has been well supported by Malusi Siboto and Lutho Sipamla.
