With the difference of only five points between the first placed team and the last-placed team at the ladder, the north group points table is still wide open in the Vitality T20 Blast - 2019. Leicestershire Foxes are currently languishing at the bottom of the table with only one win to their name. A win here, however, will take them to the fifth spot which is what they will be aiming for in the upcoming fixture against Durham. The Jets have done reasonably well in the tournament so far, and a win here will push them to the second spot at the points table. In the context of the competition, we are slowly but steadily moving towards a point where every point will be of massive importance. A point earned here could prove to be vital towards the end of the tournament and both the sides are expected to strive hard in what promises to be a cracker of a contest.
Currently placed sixth at the ladder, Durham Jets have impressed one and all with the way they've batted in the competition thus far. Their openers in D'Arcy Short and Scott Steel have been superb in almost all the matches and have taken bottom-line responsibility in getting the Jets off to a flying start.
At one point in time, the Jets were placed comfortably in the top-four, but a landslide defeat against Worcestershire Rapids pulled them down in the points table. They have a terrific record while playing at home and will be looking to get a couple of back to back wins in their next two matches, which they are going to play at their home ground.
With Peter Handscomb set to join them in place of Cameron Bancroft who has joined the Aussie squad to play the Ashes, their middle-order looks rock solid. Their bowlers were hammered all around the park in their previous match wherein the Jets conceded 184 runs in just 12.1 overs. While the Jets have a batting lineup to overpower any total put on the board, their bowling needs to pull themselves and get back to business as soon as in the next match.
D'Arcy Short, Graham Clark, Ben Raine, Alex Lees, Peter Handscomb, Jack Burnham, Liam Trevaskis, Stuart Poynter, Brydon Carse, Matthew Potts, Nathan Rimmington.
The Foxes are coming on the back of an important win in their previous fixture, over Nottinghamshire Outlaws, which was also their first and only win of the tournament. They batted first on a rain-affected day and scored a total of 125 runs in 11 overs. The total eventually proved too much to handle for Nottinghamshire's batsmen as the Foxes won the match quite convincingly.
Aaron Lilley has been their star batsmen in the tournament so far and already has a couple of good knocks to his name, albeit both of them coming in losing cause. At the top of the order, however, they are a little too over-reliant on Colin Ackermann with no other batsmen able to cope up with the pressure.
Knowing that they are coming with a good, inspiring win against the Outlaws, we expect them to go unchanged into the next match. They have been pretty inconsistent over the course of the T20 Blast thus far and would need to work on their consistency. They have a pretty good on-paper lineup, which, however, has succumbed to the pressure more often than not in the tournament thus far. They need to hold their nerves better in crunch situations and if they can do that, they can present a tough challenge to the rest of the sides in the tournament.
Mark Cosgrove, Harry Swindells, Arron Lilley, Colin Ackermann, Harry Dearden, Lewis Hill, Aadil Ali, Dieter Klein, Callum Parkinson, Gavin Griffiths, WS Davis.

Both the sides contesting in this upcoming fixture are dealing with one major problem which is of being inconsistent. Both Leicestershire have Durham Jets have faltered in crunch situations in this tournament, and it could prove to be the battle of nerves on Wednesday. Leicestershire Foxes will be pumped with a win in their previous fixture and have the momentum. Although Durham are coming with a humiliating loss in their match, they have a superb batting lineup which is better than Leicestershire's, at least on paper. Considering that and the other reasons mentioned above, Durham Jets are better placed to emerge on top in the upcoming fixture.
