The Desert Vipers batted quite well in their previous match as Alex Hales hit another fantastic score of 95. He helped his team to 195 thanks to some useful cameos around him. It is clear, though, that the batting lineup depends very heavily on Alex Hales and he is not going to score every single time.
Sam Billings, Benny Howell, Tom Curran, and Wanindu Hasaranga can all bat but they have not had much to do in IL T20 2023 so far. It will be interesting to see how the Desert Vipers respond if Hales falls early.
The bowling unit is also well-rounded thanks to Curran, Hasaranga, Howell, and Cottrell.

The MI Emirates scored over 200 in their previous match and still ended up losing by 16 runs. They were outdone in a high-scoring match as their bowlers had a really poor game. Apart from Trent Boult and to some extent Fazalhaq Farooqi, all the other bowlers suffered.
We hope that Dwayne Bravo is back for this match since he was in terrific form and his absence was clearly felt in the previous match. Kieron Pollard was the person that top-scored with 86 in the previous match and keep MI somewhat in the hunt.
Najibullah Zadran also scored 30 from just 9 deliveries and Samit Patel 18 from 6 to help decrease the deficit fo defeat.
Pooran and Fletcher are also in good batting form for MI Emirates. We think this is a very strong team that has no real weaknesses and is playing to its potential right now.
