The Sharjah Warriors were poor with the ball in their opening match. Chris Woakes was the only bowler that managed to make any sort of impact and the rest ended up being too expensive. Mohammad Nabi gave away 50 runs in his four overs and Junaid Siddique also went for 42.
There needs to be more responsibility taken by players like Moeen Ali (who bowled just one over for 18 in the previous match) as the majority of the bowling lineup looks a bit undercooked at this level.
The Sharjah Warriors do have a solid batting lineup on paper. Evin Lewis, Moeen Ali, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Dawid Malan were all a part of the playing eleven in the previous match. These are some terrific batters that did not have a good game but that does not make them bad players in itself.
