England is the only country that managed to get a full international season of cricket even as the pandemic rages worldwide and that is something that the cricketing world will thank it for. After the Pakistan series, it is Australia who is up next.
England vs Australia 2020 starts with a three-match T20 series at Southampton. No match between England and Australia is meaningless and we expect a tough fight on the field. England has become the leading limited-overs side in the world in recent times and has its eye on the T20 World Cup crown as well.
Australia hates losing but more than anything else, it hates losing to England.
A lot of fireworks on the line!
England vs Australia 1st T20 2020 is going to be played at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on the 4th of September 2020.
England managed to share the series 1-1 against Pakistan, a tough workout for its players that will give it an advantage heading into the first match against Australia. That T20 squad against Pakistan is going to be bolstered by the return of some of England’s best T20 players.
Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, and Mark Wood all make a comeback into the squad.
Considering the fact that it was the bowling which suffered most when England was playing against Pakistan, the return of Archer, in particular, is going to be a big relief.
England may go into this match as the favorite but we don’t think it is that much stronger than Australia. It also has a few important questions to answer. Will Tom Banton continue to open the batting or will Jos Buttler take that position? Will England continue to persist with Tom Curran or give Mark Wood a chance?
We think the three players to miss out from the squad for the first T20 are Sam Curran, Joe Denly, and Mark Wood.
England will keep the same top-4 as against Pakistan (Bairstow, Banton, Malan, and Morgan), add Buttler at 5, followed by Moeen Ali and Sam Billings at 6 and 7. This gives England a lot of depth and some serious power.
Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan, and Tom Curran will be the four bowlers in our opinion. The risk with this strategy is that Moeen Ali has to bowl four overs since there is no backup. Sam Curran or even Joe Denly could get a chance instead of Billings if England wants the cushion of the xtra bowler.
Eoin Morgan and Dawid Malan are the two batsmen to watch out for because of their amazing consistency and six-hitting abilities while Tom Banton could be the x-factor. The bowling lineup is vulnerable under pressure in our opinion.
Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Chris Jordan, Tom Curran, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, AU Rashid.
This is the first international that Australia will be playing after a long pandemic enforced break and so the players might take a few matches to get back to complete match-fitness. Unfortunately for Australia, this is a 3-match series and there is just not enough time to get settled.
The players have to be ready to go from ball one.
We believe Australia has a very good squad to compete against England.
Their batting is very strong and the fight for places is intense.
Aaron Finch, David Warner, and Steve Smith seem to be a lock for the top-3 positions. We think Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Alex Carey are likely to get the next four positions. Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and perhaps Rilee Meredith might get a chance to start in the playing eleven.
That is a very strong team and the only real concern is about their current form since they have been out of international cricket for such a long time.
There are close to 9 bowlers available for Australia and any one of them could easily find a place in the international team. We will get an idea of the team’s strategy after the first match but keep an eye peeled for Meredith. He bowls with real pace and could make the English batsmen very uncomfortable.
Among the batsmen, there is an air of familiarity when Finch, Warner, and Smith lineup. You know you are going to get some quality right there. Marnus Labuschagne is the player we are most excited to watch out for.
He scored a century in the warm-up match and has made his intentions of trying to excel at T20 very clear.
With power hitters like Maxwell, Stoinis, and Carey to follow, Australia is more than capable of winning this match and series.
Aaron Finch, David Warner, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, KW Richardson, Adam Zampa.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first since defending a total can be difficult. The rain is also expected to complicate things.

There is close to a 30% chance of rain predicted and so we may be able to get a full match but you can never trust the weather in England. The pitch at Southampton is expected to be a belter of a wicket. There will be some decent amount of pace and bounce in the surface which will help give the bowlers an even chance as well.
Scores of around 170-180 can be seen as par for the surface.
Dream11 tips and Dream11 team for England vs Australia 1st T20 2020
We think it is worth taking the risk and backing Australia in this match. There is very little to choose between the two teams. England is playing in home conditions and is in better recent touch but as Pakistan showed a few days ago, it is a very beatable side. Australia is a better team than Pakistan and will ask tougher questions from the England team.
Bet on Australia to win.
We don’t think there are too many batsmen in world cricket right now that are capable of hitting sixes cleaner and more consistently than Eoin Morgan. He smashed six 6’s in the previous series against Pakistan and looked in supreme touch. We can easily see him winning this bet for you.
This is one of our favorite bets because it pays of almost every single time. Keep it simple and don’t worry about the odds too much. This can be a good banker for you to ensure you come away with a win in most situations. The batting conditions in England are incredible and one or more batsmen is going to score in most matches. Take the money that betting sites are giving away.
This is an enticing bet to make. David Warner opens the batting and is one of the consistent T20 players in the world. He also loves playing against England in this format. Pat Cummins is also one of the leading strike bowlers but the T20 format is a bit unpredictable and getting at least two wickets is not a sure thing.
A risky bet but one which can triple your money. Worth the risk in our opinion.
