ENG vs NZ Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Jul 03, 2019

England has kept itself alive in this competition by beating India and will now play against New Zealand in its last league match of the ICC World Cup 2019. England cannot afford to lose this match either because that will open up an opportunity for either Pakistan or Bangladesh to leap past it.
New Zealand is also not technically guaranteed of a semi-final place just yet but it will take a very big defeat against England a big win for Pakistan against Bangladesh to cause it to miss out. The likelihood of that happening is very low.
Still, the pointy end of the ICC World Cup 2019 is here and all teams will want to get back to their best form. New Zealand has lost two matches in a row and will hope to get its side in perfect condition ahead of the knockout stage.
England still holds its destiny in its own hands. The task ahead of it is simple. Win this match and reach the semi-final of the cricket world cup 2019.
England vs New Zealand ICC World Cup 2019 is going to be played at the Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street on the 3rd of July.
ENG vs NZ Team Previews
England
England was under pressure going into the match against India. It had not beaten India in a World Cup match since 1992. The players did not let that faze them as they played their natural aggressive game against India and never let the match slip out of their reach.
Another batting pitch is expected for this match and the focus will once again be on the England batsmen.
Jason Roy returned to the side and made an immediate impact. His partnership with Bairstow at the top is very important for England to continue winning matches. It helps that Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler are all in good form as well.
The only concern would a potential weakness against the short ball for Eoin Morgan. He has now got out twice against the short ball while looking a bit unstable. We have no doubt that Lockie Ferguson is going to be brought into the attack as soon as Eoin Morgan steps on the batting crease.
England’s batting is strong enough to outhit any other lineup in the world but it needs to be careful of losing early wickets as well. We saw that England struggled when Roy was out of the team and the team did not get the kind of starts it wanted.
England’s bowling attack was changed a bit in the match against India. Moeen Ali was left out and Liam Plunkett made a comeback into the side. We think that is the best balance for England since it allows them more control and option during the end-overs.
Eventually, though, the nature of the pitch on match day will decide whether Moeen Ali plays or not. After his performance in the previous match, leaving Liam Plunkett out of the side would be very harsh.
England Playing 11

New Zealand
A convincing defeat to Pakistan and then an even bigger defeat against Australia has made dented the confidence of the New Zealand team. They had been unbeaten in the ICC World Cup 2019 up until that time but are struggling against the really big teams.
This match against England is important for New Zealand to win as well since they would not want to leave anything to chance when it comes to qualifying for the semi-final.
New Zealand has some big problems at the top of the batting order. Martin Guptill has not been at his best in this tournament and that is putting a lot of pressure on Kane Williamson. Even Ross Taylor, having a golden period in ODI cricket, has been unable to score runs like the way he was expected to.
Henry Nicholls is a good addition at the top of the order but is not as explosive as Colin Munro is. This will once again put more pressure on the other batsmen to get the runs quickly.
The batting lineup is quite deep with Mitchell Santner at number 8 but it does not match England in terms of quality. Jimmy Neesham and Colin de Grandhomme have played very well in the chances they have got but you always sense there is a chance with them at the crease.
New Zealand included Ish Sodhi in the team instead of Matt Henry in the previous match. We are not sure if they are going to play him in this match. England took a liking to India’s spinners and they may look to target Sodhi.
Expect Matt Henry to make a comeback into the side.
Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson have been the best bowlers for New Zealand so far. We think Lockie Ferguson has the pace to be able to pick up wickets in the middle overs while Trent Boult will want to utilize any swing he gets with the new ball.
These two bowlers certainly have the capability to put the England batting under serious pressure. The risk is with overs from Neesham, de Grandhomme, and Williamson (if needed).
New Zealand Playing 11
Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, KS Williamson, Ross Taylor, TWM Latham, Colin de Grandhomme, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, TG Southee, Matt Henry, TA Boult.
ENG vs NZ Toss Prediction
The team winning the toss is going to want to bat first. We don't think the conditions are going to change much and losing the toss is not going to be a big disadvantage.

Pitch and Conditions
England vs New Zealand ICC World Cup 2019 is going to be played at the Riverside Ground, Chester-Le-Street. The weather is expected to be good for cricket and we should not have any rain to worry about. This is the same venue where Sri Lanka and West Indies played out a high-scoring match.
The pitch is good and the ground has some odd dimensions which can be taken advantage of.
Expect the pitch to remain good for batting and plenty of runs to be scored. There is not going to be much help for the bowlers.
ENG vs NZ Dream11 Prediction
The Dream11 team for England vs New Zealand has been tough to make. There are plenty of players who have performed well and you would like to have in your side but points constraints have to be met. All indications point to the pitch being excellent for batting right now. We will be posting the updated Dream11 team for England vs New Zealand on Twitter after the toss. Please follow @cricketbettings for the latest updates.
Wicketkeeper: Three excellent wicketkeeper-batsmen are available in this category out of which we have picked two. Jonny Bairstow is in superb form after his hundred against India so he is an obvious choice. We have also picked Job Buttler and think he could be a big point scorer for us. The ground at Chester Le Street suits his style of play and his record against New Zealand is very good also.
Batsmen: Once again, we have plenty of options to choose between. Joe Root, Martin Guptill, and Henry Nicholls are the three batsmen we have picked. Leaving Kane Williamson out was a tough choice but one that had to be made. Root has been scoring runs freely this tournament but the other two batsmen are a bit of a risk. Guptill has struggled for form and Nicholls is only going to be playing his second match. We think Guptill will like playing on the pitch at Chester-le-street while Nicholls could be the differentiator to help move this Dream11 team up the rankings.
All-rounders: Ben Stokes is back to bowling in every match and has also been the best batsman for England in the tournament up until now. We have picked Mitch Santner and Jimmy Neesham as well because both of them will bowl most of their quota of overs and can bat also. Santner could be given the new ball in an effort to get Roy early.
Bowlers: We have opted to go for three fast bowlers playing in this match. Jofra Archer, Lockie Ferguson, and Trent Boult are all genuine wicket-takers and will be bowling in situations where they could easily end up scoring a lot of points for our Dream11 team.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have selected Ben Stokes as captain and Jos Buttler as vice-captain for this match.
