England and Pakistan have just finished playing a test series but there is no time for rest as the T20 series is around the corner. While England has a completely different squad for its white-ball matches, Pakistan is going to have a lot of players that were a part of the Test matches as well.
Pakistan could have easily won the test series but it let go of a strong winning position. It will be desperate to start off on the right foot against England. The English T20 side was not very convincing against Ireland and will be tested by a much-stronger Pakistan team.
England vs Pakistan 1st T20 2020 is going to be played at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester on the 28th of August 2020.
England may be without Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer for this series but it still has a very strong team. The batting is going to be led by Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow at the top of the order. Roy has yet to get any significant runs this summer and is going to be a bit under pressure going up against Pakistan.
Jonny Bairstow, on the other hand, has already scored the fastest fifty by an Englishman and will be keen to get on the park.
Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, and Sam Billings are the other players that are likely to start for the first match. Sam Billings had a very good series against Ireland and will be an integral part of the middle-order.
Eoin Morgan is the leader of the batting lineup, in our opinion, and his prowess against spin could be critical to England’s success.
David Willey had a dream comeback against Ireland and is going to lead the bowling attack once more. Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, and Saqib Mehmood should be the other bowlers to start off things.
England is not at full-strength but it is still a very strong team.
Jonny Bairstow, Tom Banton, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan, Sam Billings, Moeen Ali, Lewis Gregory, Tom Curran, AU Rashid, Chris Jordan, Saqib Mahmood.
Babar Azam is the captain of the Pakistani T20 side, an excellent move in our opinion. He is rated as one of the best batsmen in the entire world in T20 cricket and is also coming off a decent test series where he got some runs.
Pakistan’s batting is a bit thin in our opinion. They have Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, and Mohammad Hafeez as the players that are likely to be in the playing eleven. We are not sure if Shoaib Malik will make the cut but it will be a mistake if Pakistan does not make use of his experience.
Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Rizwan are the all-rounders in the side. Rizwan is a competent wicketkeeper-batsman who was the highest scorer for Pakistan in the test side.
The real strength of this Pakistani team is its bowling. Mohammad Amir is going to be back and is expected to start. He will partner with Shaheen Afridi and perhaps Wahab Riaz for the first match.
With reserves like Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Hasnain, Pakistan is spoiled for choice.
The batting needs to hold up to help it win its end because Pakistan’s bowlers are always going to give it a chance.
Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, SI Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first.

There is a fair bit of rain predicted for the first match in Manchester. The forecast does get a bit better as we approach the start time but we could be in for some delays or even over reductions.
The pitch at Manchester is going to be very good for batting. The surface is flat and full of runs in Old Trafford. There is some extra bounce in the surface and that could test the batsmen from both the teams.
A score of around 160 should be around par batting first.
Dream11 team and Dream11 tips for England vs Pakistan 1st T20 2020
The two teams are pretty evenly matched. England’s batting has been vulnerable this summer and is going to face up against a strong Pakistani side. The visitors are also vulnerable on the batting front and a lot of their players are going to be playing in England for the first time this summer after a long layoff.
England’s familiarity with the conditions and more power in its lineup could give it the edge.
