The England women’s T20 team has won the first two T20 matches against the West Indies women’s T20 team convincingly. In fact, both the wins were by 47 runs and so the momentum is completely going to be on the England women’s side.
Nothing we have seen so far suggests that this match is going to be a close one but it is not a smart thing to write off an opponent completely in T20 cricket. Can the West Indies women pull off something special in this match and prevent England from just running away with the series?
England W vs West Indies W 3rd T20 2020 is going to be played at the County Ground, Derby on the 26th of September 2020.
England has been so dominant in the first two matches of this series that it is really difficult to see them lose even if they were actively trying to do so! The batting depth that England has is fantastic and also, the West Indian bowlers are not good enough to pose a challenge.
Often, it is the English batters trying to score quickly or trying to play an extravagant shot that gets them out instead of any plan that the bowler came up with.
Tammy Beaumont, Danielle Wyatt, Nate Sciver, Heather Knight, Amy Ellen Jones, and Fran Wilson are all good enough to score a match-winning fifty against this West Indian team.
Katherine Brunt, Any Shrubsole, Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glen, Mady Villiers, and Nate Sciver have all been very good in the series. They have not been tested so far but they have shown that they can easily get the best of the West Indian batting.
Tammy Beaumont, Danielle Wyatt, Heather Knight, Natalie Sciver, Fran Wilson, Amy Ellen Jones, Katherine Brunt, Mady Villiers, Sarah Glenn, Sophie Ecclestone, Anya Shrubsole.
The West Indian women came to play this series with a view to keeping women’s cricket alive during the time of the pandemic and that is something that should be appreciated. However, the quality of cricket has been very poor for them and it is clear that women’s cricket in the West Indies is on a steep slide.
It appears as if there is no batting talent beyond their top-3 batters We know what Hayley Matthews is capable of even though we have not seen it in this series. Deandra Dottin and Stafanie Taylor have been able to provide some resistance but there is nothing to follow.
Not a single double-digit score was achieved in the second T20 after the top-3 got out.
The way that the West Indies can win a match is if one of their top-3 bats through the entire inning and does not let the other batsmen come into the picture at all.
The complete lack of depth in the batting lineup and the uninspiring bowling attack is going to make it very difficult for the West Indies to avoid a 5-0 scoreline. The series loss is not in any doubt in our opinion.
Hayley Matthews, Deandra Dottin, Stafanie Taylor, Lee Ann Kirby, Shemaine Campbelle, Chedean Nation, Chinelle Henry, Sheneta Grimmond, Shakera Selman, Afy Fletcher, Shamilia Connell.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. Both the matches have been won by the team batting first so far.

The pitch at Derby has been pretty good for batting. It is going to take a bit of turn as it has been used a couple of times in the past week already. There is some rain around in the area and we could have some interruptions but hopefully nothing that affects the duration of the match.
We think you have no option but to continue with England as the team to back. Every time that you get better odds on England in-play, take them. That is the only way to get some value out of this match for your stake.
Bet on England women to win.
