An excellent bowling performance from the Falcon Hunters in their previous match ensured that they did not have to chase too many against the Desert Riders. Saad Bin Zafar bowled one over for just four runs while Iqbal Hussain gave away just five in his two overs.
That is three overs for just none runs, almost a third of the inning gone. It eventually proved to be the difference since the Desert Riders could get just 89.
Starts from Salman Butt, Hashim Amla, and an enterprising inning of 35 from just 17 deliveries by Mohammad Rizlan ensured that Falcon Hunters reached the target with almost two overs to spare.
We don’t think there is any need for the Falcon Hunters to change too many things ahead of this match against Flying Oryx. Salman Butt and Hashim Amla are players with immense international experience and even though they may be far beyond their best, we are backing them to make a solid contribution in most matches.
Kamran Khan and Mohammad Rizlan provide some decent hitting power in the middle order as well.

These are not names that are going to give any bowlers sleepless nights. In fact, while these players may be well-intentioned, we don’t see them striking at a high rate for long enough to make a difference. The best-case scenario for Flying Oryx seems to be one in which most of its batsmen get a quick start to get a defendable total on the board.
The bowling also seems to be lacking in quality and does not have the international names that some of the other sides do.
