The vagaries of the Caribbean Premier League scheduling are difficult to understand sometimes and this is why the Barbados Tridents will be getting ready to play their first game after the tournament has been running for close to a week!
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have won their two opening matches and will now be playing another in less than 24 hours against the Barbados Tridents. The team has prospered from playing at home and is going to be very tough to stop in this match as well.
The Barbados Tridents should have all their big players available to them as Alex Hales is expected to join up with them following his semi-final in the T20 Blast 2019.
Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Barbados Tridents CPL 2019 is going to be played at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on the 8th of September 2019.
A perfect start to the CPL campaign for the Guyana Amazon Warriors would have filled them with confidence going into this match against the Barbados Tridents. Shimron Hetmyer smashed the bowling to all parts of the ground as he made 70 off just 47 balls and helped the side ace a difficult chase.
Brandon King, Hemraj Chandrapaul, and Shoaib Malik also made some useful contributions to showcase the batting strength of the Warriors. Nicholas Pooran, Keemo Paul, Chris Green, and Sherfane Rutherford are all a part of this batting lineup providing some tremendous depth in the batting.
Shimron Hetmyer is a confidence player and can go on scoring sprees once he gets in form. He is going to be the biggest threat to the Barbados Tridents in this game.
We also think that wasting a player of the caliber of Nicholas Pooran is just criminal. He needs to be sent up the order at number 4 or maybe even open the batting to make the most of the resources the Guyana Amazon Warriors have.
The bowling lineup is very strong with Shadab Khan, Ben Laughlin, Chris Green, Keemo Paul, and Romario Shepherd in the playing eleven as well. It is going to take something special to stop the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shoaib Malik, Keemo Paul, Shadab Khan, Christopher Green, Romario Shepherd, Odean Smith.
Alex Hales, perhaps the biggest name in the Barbados Tridents, is expected to play a role in the opening match as he is coming off an excellent run of form in the T20 Blast. His presence is going to be a huge boost for the Barbados Tridents and they will be hoping that Hales can hit the ground running in the CPL.
Shai Hope, Johnson Charles, JP Duminy, Jason Holder, Jonathan Carter, and Asif Ali are the other players that should be able to find a place in the playing eleven. We like this bowling attack which has a lot of experience and international class in its midst.
Duminy and Holder are the key batsmen in the middle order and their ability to clear the boundaries is a big advantage for the Tridents. Asif Ali comes into this tournament with a big reputation but we don’t rate him very highly.
Asif Ali has played one or two good innings against some weak opponents and has never really been able to replicate that kind of hitting power with any consistency in more demanding conditions.
Sandeep Lamichhane, Ashley Nurse, Jason Holder, Josh Lalor, and a mix of all-rounders will form the bowling unit for the Barbados Tridents.
There are plenty of good players in the side but it can be difficult to find the right combination in just the first match of the tournament. The international players will also take some time getting used to the conditions.
J Charles, AD Hales, Jonathan Carter, Leniko Boucher, Jean-Paul Duminy, Jason Holder, Sandeep Lamichhane, Josh Lalor, Raymon Reifer, Ashley Nurse, Roshon Primus.

Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Barbados Tridents CPL 2019 is going to be played at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on the 8th of September 2019. The weather is expected to be dry in Guyana on match day and we should have another full game to witness.
The pitch in Guyana has been slow and difficult for batting. Shimron Hetmyer made it look easy but chasing down a total of about 160 is going to be a tough ask on this pitch.
Dream11 Prediction and Dream11 team for Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Barbados Tridents
The Guyana Amazon Warriors seem to be comfortable playing in their home conditions and have a side suited to take the maximum advantage of the slowness of the wicket. Having played two matches here is a big advantage and we think they will continue their unbeaten streak by winning this match as well.
Bet on Guyana Amazon Warriors to win.
